Apple has released its major software update for iPod Touch - Software v2.1 containing:
- Bug fixes
- Support for Genius playlists creation (requires iTunes account!)
- More keyboard languages
- Fixed some language mistakes in localized menus
- Now showing artist's name in Songs/Albums list

How to install: when iTunes tells you that an update is available for your iPod, hold the "shift" key down, and click the Update button. This will bring up an "Open file" dialog, where you can select the *.ipsw file you downloaded, instead of trying to download it from Apple servers
