Beyoncé Giselle Knowles [born September 4th 1981 in Houston, Texas] commonly known as Beyoncé, is an American R&B singer-songwriter, record producer, and actress. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, she enrolled in various performing arts schools, and was first exposed to singing and dancing competitions as a child. Knowles rose to fame in the late 1990s as the lead singer of girl group Destiny\'s Child and went on to sell over 50 million records worldwide with the group. After a series of commercial successes with the group, Knowles released her debut solo album, \'Dangerously In Love\', in June 2003. The album became one of the most-successful albums of that year, spawning the number-one singles \'Crazy In Love\' and \'Baby Boy\'. It earned Knowles five Grammy Awards in a single night in 2004, and its reception signalled her viability as a solo artist. \'I Am…Sasha Fierce\' is the third solo studio album by American R&B singer Beyoncé Knowles, released worldwide from November 12th 2008 to February 6th 2009. To correspond with the double album release, Columbia Records produced a website for Sasha Fierce. It asks to call and try to describe Sasha. It also states her \"true identity\" will be released at a later date. This Deluxe two CD version containing five bonus tracks. One of 2008\'s most hotly anticipated album releases, \'I Am..Sasha Fierce\' marks the artist\'s first new studio collection since the Grammy-winning multi-platinum-selling \'B\'Day\' debuted at No.1 on charts around the world shortly after its international release on September 4th 2006. With all songs co-written and co-produced by Beyoncé, the artist\'s third studio album is her most personal, reflective and revelatory collection to-date. The lead singles from the album, \'If I Were a Boy\' and \'Single Ladies [Put a Ring on It]\' were released on October 8th 2008.
