Activision va a sacar un nuevo Guitar Hero (como si esto fuese novedad) que cumplirá el pedido de muchos fans de la serie. Esta nueva versión será una suerte de "remake" de los Guitar Hero 1, 2, 3 y Encore: Rock the 80s, la cual juntará los mejores temas de cada uno, con una sutil diferencia: Aparte de tocar la guitarra y el bajo como en esos títulos, se podrá cantar y tocar la batería al igual que en el Guitar Hero World Tour (y Rock Band). En total el juego tendrá 48 canciones, y entre las confirmadas están (Faltan las 7 del GH 80s, espero que esté Holy Diver al menos):
