the bedlam sessions

James Blunt has an intimate way of showing his raw emotion in his music.
On the DVD that is even more apparent than in his audio album.
Here is an artist that sings each song every bit as well live as he does recorded - a sign of real talent.

This DVD is a great watch if you are a fan of his music.
Since his music is so much about the emotion he expresses I loves the interviews where he discusses more about what went into each song and where his inspiration came from.
I'm still trying to figure out his music videos... the one for "You're Beautiful" was really striking yet simple - in line with his style - but the others are just plain weird! It's OK, though, just makes me think more intently about the songs when I hear them after seeing the things he finds important to portray in the videos.

I'm not one to really sit down and watch music on TV, but this DVD is an exception to me.
James Blunt puts his heart and soul into his singing so actually seeing him express that just adds to the beauty of it.
I can't wait til he comes back to the US for concerts! But, in the mean time, this will suffice.
