Active@ Disk Image - a PC backup solution for an entire computer or any sets of PC disks, including operating system, applications and user files. A backup image may be stored on a USB drive, network storage, burned directly to CD/DVD/BR discs, or kept on any other media. In case of computer failure, a backup image may be used to recover your computer system or find and restore any necessary files from within an image. Active@ Boot Disk Lite (bootable CD/USB) as a program component helps you bring a dead system back to life to restore a Windows system disk.
Active@ Disk Image allows you to create an image of the data stored in selected partitions of a hard disk or an image of the entire hard disk. Active@ Disk Image is partition-oriented and not file-oriented. In a file-oriented system, you must select all the files that you want to archive. In a partition-oriented system, all files on the selected disk partition are saved into the archive.

A partition-oriented approach offers two major advantages:
* There is no risk that you will overlook important files when performing the backup. All files on the disk are saved into the image file.
* The folder structure and all hidden system files are saved, guaranteeing reliable partition restoring. If the original partition is completely corrupted and unrecoverable, it is still possible to restore system partitions, data and installed software.

Main Features:
Create Backup Disk Image and Raw Disk Image. Active@ Disk Image creates two types of disk images:
- Backup Disk Image is used for backup of entire computer or any PC disks, and contains used disk space only.
- Raw Disk Image contains an identical copy of every disk sector. It can be used for backup of non-Windows systems and future data recovery.
Back up to almost any media: CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD+R DL (Dual Layer), USB and FireWire devices, network drives, Zip and Jaz drives, HD DVD and Blu-ray Discs supported.
Schedule a backup. Schedule the regular making of a disk image.
Disk Image Explorer. You may view the contents of the disk image archive file and restore individual files from it.
