PILOT - Everybody's Favourite Bagman

The original pilot of the Law & Order series. Mike Logan is introduced for the first time, as well as his partner, Max Greevey (George Dzundza).

2x01 - Confession

Logan's partner, Max Greevey is murdered. He captures the killer, but goes too far when getting the confession. This is Logan's first case with his new partner, Phil Cerreta (Paul Sorvino).

3x08 - Prince of Darkness

Phil Cerreta gets shot in the line of duty, and decides to move to a desk job while recuperating in the hospital. Logan is unhappy, but comes to term with this decision.

3x09 - Point of View

Logan's first case with his new partner, Lennie Briscoe (Jerry Orbach). Their personalities clash somewhat.

5x23 - Pride

Angry at a series of events that result in what Logan sees as a miscarriage of justice, he punches out a politician on the courthouse steps. This action costs him his job, and he gets sent to work on Staten Island.

1998
Exiled

While on Staten Island, Mike Logan catches a case with links to his old precinct. He maneuvers to get himself an opportunity to reconnect with old friends and coworkers. Many previous characters reappear from Logan's past, including his old captains (Cragen and Van Buren), his partner (Lennie Briscoe), and ADA Jack McCoy. Also key to this story is Tony Profaci (played by John Fiore), previously only a minor character on Law & Order. His absence from later episodes of the series is finally explained for those who missed this film the first time around.

4x13 - Stress Position

After ten years working on Staten Island, Logan comes in contact with the Major Case Squad by a coincidental series of events. His girlfriend is witness to a situation involving brutality of prison guards toward secret inmates. He assists Robert Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) and Alex Eames (Kathryn Erbe) in uncovering the mystery behind this.

5x02 - Diamond Dogs

Logan is transferred to Major Crimes, and catches his first case. He is given a new partner as well, Carolyn Barek (Annabella Sciorra). He is under pressure to prove himself to his new boss, Captain James Deakins (Jamey Sheridan), and avoid getting sent back to Staten Island.

6x22 - Renewal

A very personal story, Logan meets a girl who just happens to live down the hall from him. After she tragically dies, he obsessively searches from some reason to explain it. When he finally uncovers it, there is no justice to be found.

7x21 - Last Rites

Logan and Megan Wheeler (Julianne Nicholson) are given a 16 year old case by a priest who has evidence which he will not fully disclose. Logan's job comes into serious jeopardy as he clashes head-to-head with an overly-ambitious DA. Unlike in 1995, he keeps his cool, and his job. But, while discussing how he feels with the priest, he makes a final decision to quit on his own. Mike Logan leaves, for the second time.
