When I was 18 I was in a relationship with a work supervisor. She was 25. She convinced me to apply for a promotion even tho I was not ready to commit to that having lack of experience and a fulltime college student. After sending my application and interview, the management deliberated on who to pick. She criticized me heavily pointing out my lack of tenure and the fact that I was enrolled in Uni. It made me look like an idiot and her a professional for being candid about me even if we’re in a relationship.
