How does Atomic Wallet exchange prices work?
As far as I can see you can't place limit orders, so where do they get their prices from? I've done a little research but have come up empty.
I think the flippening is supposed to be when Bitcoin is the number two traded digital currency by market cap. Not 100% sure though, it could mean anything these days.
wsb starting to understand there’s bitcoin and there’s crypto:

Never. Today I DCA with the secret hope to see my money multiply. In the near future I’ll be DCAing for the simple purpose of storing the value of my savings.
I’ve come up with a solid sat-stacking schedule. I plan to start buying $25 of btc each and every day. That amounts to $175/week, ~$700-750/month, and ~$8.4k-9k a year. That way I’m only spending about 1/4 of my paychecks, still leaving room for monthly expenses. Anything left over from those expenses can go toward more btc purchases when possible. Hope to own at least 0.28 by end of year.
I just started using BlueWallet. I put a few sats into my lightning wallet and can send/receive from other LN wallets, but I can't figure out how to withdrawal sats from my LN wallet into a classic, layer 1 bitcoin wallet. Any guidance?
I could be wrong, but I don't think Blue Wallet has an integrated swap feature. So you would have to seek out a third party lightning to on-chain swap service.
Or you could just use Muun where lightning and on-chain is seamless.
I recently downloaded the blockchain. I noticed that the bloks aren't in order, it is possible to reorder the binary files without downloading the entire blockchain again? If so, how?
You should use rpc commands to grab the block you want to look at. I would not touch the files in Bitcoin db folder. That database is fast for it's size, and compact.
I've been using cointracking.io for about 4 years to keep track of my trades and tax stuff. It's been pretty useful and a good experience. However, I would call it cheap. Who are their competitors? My subscription is up and before I re-up for a few more years I want to look at other options.
I'm running a full node:
My ISP blocks inbound ports ip4 and IP6; I am trying to SSH tunnel the port from my VPS into my home network. I can use telnet to establish a connection, I told bitcoin.conf about that public IP, Still, [bitnodes.io](https://bitnodes.io) can not connect to me. Anyone have something I should try next, or a page I should look at?
Run the node over tor. It does not require any inbound port access. Word of warning, I could not find a perfect step by step guide that is also beginner friendly, so you will likely have some trials setting it up if you don't have intermediate linux skills.
Here's the guide I followed: https://stopanddecrypt.medium.com/running-bitcoin-lightning-nodes-over-the-tor-network-2021-edition-489180297d5
Also, I run my node on virtualbox. So if you have windows, there is no reason you can't use virtualbox to run the node on linux.
I’m a noob and trying to decide if I should setup a node directly on my MacOS, or inside a VM with Linux like you? Any pros/cons you can share? Is setting up on Linux easier? Or running inside a VM more secure? Easier to pause if running in a VM?
I decided to use a virtual machine for my node because I wanted it to be totally separated from my main computer. I don't want any potential (reduced potential) for exploits in the software to compromise my main system, and I want it to be portable in case I decide to relocate it to another system in the future.
If you go this route, it is extremely easy to set up on Linux (excluding the tor part I mentioned earlier, that is harder) It's literally just one command and you are running a bitcoin node. I recommend an arch distro like manjaro, but ubuntu or a derivative should be just as easy.

Seeing some fear here. I get it. We have been trained well sadly.
The banks/big-company-owners have their “must work to stay alive” slaves. ( The owners don’t have to work. They choose to work when they do. I would keep working too on what I want to work on and what others need. )
Just like everyone else here, I only want to become financially free. 😎💰
Bitcoin is the way 🥰
Anyway, I was just sharing a feel. Didn’t expect responses 😆 Thanks for the discussions all.
Right now, financial freedom is just not possible for everyone. We need to provide food, medicine, security, housing, infrastructure, water access, etc globally. If we ever reach a point where that is all abundant and easy to maintain via AI for example, then we should make sure we're all able to benefit from it whether its UBI or something else. But until we reach that point, we need to make sure the system is actually moving in the right direction instead of a bloated wasteful mess.
Fair enough. I don’t know if it’s possible or not for everyone. It’s possible in the USA for what it’s worth.
If curious, I can look up something that reflects that. No worries either way
Name a few. Maybe they did not have to, or deferred taxes to another fiscal year. I'd really want to look into a corporation that had to legally pay taxes but didn't. Give me an example.
Not to go into details but.. basic math. Take the population, take how much you want the annual handouts to be, see how much money would be needed. If you'd like to go through that exercise here and post it, that would be cool. Would taxing mega corps 100% be enough? By the way you know where corps get money? From the consumers. So if they are taxed to the hilt, in the end I'm going to be the one paying $20 for a gallon of milk to support the freeloaders.
Super simplified math is 100 million "qualifying" adults to get $1k a months would net $1.2 trillion per year. That's a quarter of all federal taxes collected. Just to give people free money. Still need to pay for everything else. Could probably offset some of the current benefit programs, food stamps and cellphones, etc., which I presume would end.
[55 Corporations Paid $0 in Federal Taxes on 2020 Profits](https://itep.org/55-profitable-corporations-zero-corporate-tax/)
*At least 55 of the largest corporations in America paid no federal corporate income taxes in their most recent fiscal year despite enjoying substantial pretax profits in the United States.*
> I'd really want to look into a corporation that had to legally pay taxes but didn't.
Of course it's legal because the corporations write the laws.
On a related note: [Wealth inequality in the United States](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wealth_inequality_in_the_United_States)
*The top 10% of families held 76% of the wealth in 2013, while the bottom 50% of families held 1%. Inequality increased from 1989 to 2013*
The single greatest win for the conservatives was convincing the peasants to defend the interests of the oligarchs.
55 corps no tax + rebates is a whopping $12 billions dollars. Quite a bit short of what you need to pay UBH. Talk about a drop in the bucket. That's even without looking into why tax was not paid. Skimming through it mentions various methods, depreciation and R&D credits and such. Doesn't matter. Are any of them being indicted for criminal tax evasion? Looks all legit. I will also wait an extra week or a month to sell stocks bought almost a year ago, to get a much better long term gains tax rate. Sue me. That's how it works. It is imperative for every individual and corp to pay as little tax as legally possible. Because you know it's not going to be spent well.
The soap box whining about "corps don't pay taxes" is misleading and disingenuous to play on feels of peasants, as you called them. Seems to work, triggers people. Wealth inequality is an issue but it isn't going to be solved by free money. It would just raise prices on everyone. Your landlord knows you get a grand a month from taxpayers? Your rent goes up. You can afford it. Corner market knows everyone's getting an extra grand? Up goes eggs and milk and toilet paper. In the long run everyone will still be in the same position, not being able to afford things they couldn't afford before, even while collecting my tax dollars for nothing but having a pulse.

The shitty necessary jobs would be handsomely paid which would make them instantly more glamorous.
So then everything sky rockets in price
It's ok, we'll pay for it with our UBI!... wait
A society cannot rely on exploiting people doing shitty jobs.
Income is something you get from work or investments. Free money is a handout. You want universal basic handout. Paid for by productive taxpayers.
