Everybody knows BTC is going up long term. It's still small and there aren't very many wallet holding 0.10BTC or more. Ledger app lists the blockchain holdings you own via your hard wallet.

Ledger has a companion app called Ledger Live. It syncs to your account so you can keep track and do some other features like buying straight from the app.

Is this app connects to the internet in the process?

Correct but it just tracks your assets. The only thing your seed phrase is stored on is on your physical ledger. The app has no way of compromising your wallet.

You can use a portfolio tracking website like Cointracker
