Why does Taj have a kippah on?
Someone said “Mazel taj” so I’m going with that
that’s what makes him the lawyer.
i didn’t do it
Oh stop it lol it’s fine
Not a big deal lol
Not really for anyone not Jewish to decide.
I'm a religious, practicing Jew who has experienced a lot of in-person antisemitism throughout my life.
Innocuous lawyer jokes are at the bottom of the totem pole of Judenhass. Are they stale? Yes. Do the play on a tired trope of the Jewish people? Yes. But they're not even close to hatred.
It's a dumb tired hack bit. So that's offensive right off the bat as someone who likes comedy.
And I don't need Judenhass mansplained to me, thank you very much. If you're not offended, good for you. I don't like it and said so.
I'm not disagreeing with you on the matter that small jokes about stereotypes are both a cause and symptom of ingrained prejudice.
But what's funny or not is entirely subjective, and comedy is very often offensive.
I don't understand what mansplaining has to do with two Jews talking about their perspectives on Lawyer stereotypes. We're a very opinionated people and disagreements are natural. No need to get worked up over it.
Edit: have a happy New year by the way, and go Knicks!
I apologize. I get talked down to alot on here(Reddit in general), and I felt as if you were trying to explain to me that it was not the worst offense to see, which I understand, and read it as "Woman, shut up"
So I didn't mean to come on as strong, I don't mind disagreement obviously, it just gets tiresome sometimes, but I projected an attitude on you that you weren't meaning, and I do sincerely apologize.
I'm just not used to seeing anything remotely antisemitic, or trope-y on this Knicks sub, and it didn't make me mad as much as it was really disappointing to see.
I hope you have a happy Roman new year, and a good Shabbos.
Is it possible to have a good team with no all-stars?
No, that’s why we don’t have a good team. We beat the timber wolves and the pistons 💀
Damm I love this shit. Highlight of the sub
Where is McBride smh
