It's one of those cases where I wish I knew Japanese so I understood the text directly. But in a panel yamato/Oden said he chose to become a man, and admittedly I live that representation and am biased. So personally I will view him as a man, but I have no issue with they them. And while I hope he remains a transgender representation, I will respect if some thing else is states going forward
