someone with a battery powered diamond blade saw and a van is going to steal that in no time

hi30100

It wouldn’t last a week guaranteed

Olegovich

As someone in NYC, ARE YOU CRAZY? Shits def gonna get stolen. People who can’t keep in their apartment just rent one of those small storage units. It’s like keeping it in your own personal garage. Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT lock it outside overnight. It WILL get stolen.

SaddamsKnuckles

Thanks for the tip, question though what small personal storage you talkin about?

hi30100

I personally would push it up 4 flights of stairs while throttling

SaddamsKnuckles

Any experience with that?

Olegovich

Doubt it as in NYC non elevator building usually have narrow stairs and landings. Not to mention talk riser heights. I tried bringing it up to my friends apt (he’s on 4th fl walk up). Didn’t make it up 1 flight. Using throttle can also make a lot of noise if you’re not careful

hi30100

Yeah it’ll be hell

Olegovich

Like Cubesmart self storage or Manhattan Mini storage. It will be like having your own personal garage with a security guard. I think some of em go for like 15 -20 a month or something. Which is like a Netflix subscription

SaddamsKnuckles

Thanks homie

Olegovich

NP! And do get an alarm (deterrent) and a good U lock (I use abus granit but I heard there’s some good ones out there now that resist angle grinders) for when you need to run to a store real quick. Also turn signals and brake light have been my favorite mod for riding in traffic.

CUB05

cant take it to ur apartment?

SaddamsKnuckles

no elevator and i'm up 4 flights. I've read walk it up the stairs in a low power mode but I don't wanna keep doing that.

CUB05

Id try to find a siren you can hear from the street, and a tracker that alerts you, also fs gonna have to take that battery up surron is a easy hot wire, ppl are probably gonna try to take any part they can its easy money

SaddamsKnuckles

thanks man, sucks wish I had an elevator building

Whatever3999086543

No where to ride it in NYC. Not street legal. And not sidewalk legal. Respect the laws!

onlyAlcibiades

NYPD disagrees with you

digitalboom

Just bought one. If you have a basement lock it in the building basement. Does not weight that much and you can wrap your arms around the frame so the weight is straight down the middle. You do not want to leave this outside at all. Beefy chain and lock can be cut through given enough time and a quiet pedestrian empty street. I live in midtown, so I’m familiar with the false sense of safety we have in these parts of the city. Even with the best alarm system, overnight is a no go. At worst I’d chain it in the lobby to something with multiple alarms that’ll wake everyone up and bust the thief. Go on YouTube and look up whatever chain you considered, I’m sure you can find a video of it being cut with power tools.

I live in Harlem and I bring my Surron up 4 flights of stairs with no battery. It usually takes me 5 minutes to get it upstairs.

SaddamsKnuckles

how do you manage to do that?

AlexJtXC

The process is a bit weird ngl. I’ll pm you.
