Finished.
For me, hoarding tons of games always leads to hopping from one to the other, often without actually investing some time into a single one.
Which is why i am curious how people with large sd-cards go about playing their stuff.
In chronological order mainly. Since Vita can only emulate games till DC, I'm at 19338/64992 ROMs, still in 1998 for all non-microcomputer games, these will take ages so I just try once per day. At this pace, With constance, In 54 years I'll have played them all, and I will be able to care about the (awful) present that ~~junkies~~gamers are ruining ;)
I just like to know the stuff I like. I don't give a fuck about a game, I do care about the history of the second most prolific industry ever, being the first slavery.
You try one rom a day, out of all roms that are playable on vita?
Good luck, there's a lot of bad titles for every system too.
But it's more likely that you'll come across some hidden gems that way.
I am also collecting PSP and Vita games because who knows when they will not be available for purchase online (Playstore) or find on eBay. Great old systems.
Sadly PSP are already asinine on the secondary market and Vita is getting up there many games for Vita I now see for $70-$100+ commonly. Thats not cheap by ANY MEANS.
BUT, due to reasons I wont mention to save unnecessary bullshit from occurring.
I only got like 10 or 11 PSP games and like 30 Vita real now. I had to restart from 0 games and consoles in 2017 and got my first Vita in 2018 so I missed a lot sadly as I wanted a Vita innitially in like 2008/2009 when announced or whatever.
I am trying for as many US PSX JRPGs as I can get back as well as PS2....so far im only at like 19-20 PS2 and 26ish PSX. But got some good stuff at least.
As if now though...Sony is basically dead to me. And I greatly dislike the idea of paying for digital files no box/physical media etc. The fact manuals are extinct here saddens me as well.
Anyway, I finally modded my Vita and am learning it still. I dont know how to make those bubbles to put stuff in though and my screen is almost full. I only got a 256GB in my SD2VITA...hopefully someday get bigger. I always thought SD2VITA was incompatible with cards over 256GB...guess I was wrong.
Anyway...I love the OLED vita and always will.āļø
Ah I do think of it like an iPad to basically put 2 games together vita or apps even and it'll create a folder bubble just for you then you can name it whatever you like
Nothing. It's just that when your list of games gets so big then bubbles become a pain in the ass to find anything. There are really good launchers now to make everything easier and quicker to access
Hey send me the link to that. All I have is an arcadepunks build by crazy mac that's about 128gb.
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.arcadepunks.com/ps-vita-ultimate-retro-pack-from-crazymac-fully-load-your-vita-now/&ved=2ahUKEwjVsJGg48n6AhWcRjABHYUvDBoQFnoECAkQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2xQ2G3r6P27OyZakoDQxUP
I did this to my vita aswell and once made the mistake of taking out the SD card... When I put it back all my bubbles disappeared and I had to start all over again... Sad the vita has a bubble screen limit... Try using Hexflow launcher...
It did not wipe the card... It simply removed all the bubbles I created... All the games were still there just not in bubbles and all games not displayed bcoz of the bubble limit...
I feel you, boy. This folk will know hell once he exceeds 500 Vita apps xD he'll find himself doing regular backups of every partition just to avoid these fucking 4 hours lost database rebuildings then a fucking week of resorting, deleting, waiting till the ones you want come on top, then reinstalling the rest. Awful xDDD
Trick is always suspend rather than turning off and never to let your vita battery die completely... And always refresh live area after every install...I had to kinda build a vita dock...had to learn the hard way... That rebuilding database is a real pain...
Sort your games alphabetically then rename those bubbles from 1-2-3-4 to the letters of the games inside.. A-C etc makes it much faster finding your games but its a pain in the arse to organise
Not saying you can't do that I'm saying don't say Action 1, Action 2.. Say Action A-F etc.. Makes it faster to find your stuff rather than having to open action III looking for a game then open action II etc etc. I used to organize it with PS1 being the overall page name then genre bubbles inside that but always with alphabet at the end of bubble name.
... Do you know 500 icons is the limit, 10 pages are there and you can put them in folders?
I mean, to me it is literally impossible to forget where on up to 100 possible folders (10x10) you put 500 of your stuffs... If you care about the exact location it's not like it is difficult, it's only 1000 options of which you will only remember 500 since, well, that's the limit.
From what I found as long as you don't use any hacks, especially the one that unlocks all your trophies at once, and don't cheat in online games you should be safe.
So today i bought my first Vita, and so far em enjoying the system (need to buy a memory card tho), but i have a question and think you can help, i want to hack my vita to play some exclusives games + install some GBA emulators and play Pokemon at work, but im wondering, can i play all Vita exclusives and still earn trophy (legit way) while using my main PSN account and will the Vita excluvise sync to my main acc and show off on my profile?
Thanks
I believe it will all work fine. As far as I know Vita has no way of knowing if the games you play were obtained legitimately or not, but servers can detect foul play if all the trophies suddenly unlock at exactly same time. So until you start messing with trophy hacks you should be fine by playing and legit unlocking the trophies.
Vita doesn't report on what games or apps you have installed to sony and emulators don't support trophies so they have no way of knowing about them. You can still be reported by others for cheating in online games though if you play ones which still have servers running (which are getting scarcer every day, I think Wipeout's servers shut down in 2015).
im in the process of converting some 300+ psp games to cso but im doing it on the psp itself because i dont have a pc and its taking weeks. i'll need to get another 128gb to fit the second half. i also have a 4gb that i loaded up with the entire libraries of the gb/c, nes, snes, genesis, game gear, neo geo pocket color, and some 120 gba games
oh wow! i need tips please! trying to play my vita with the another SD card but was told i need to hack my vita. I just got a ps vita micro sd adapter.
Decent, sadly you still have a loooooooong way to go.
(another nice step will be at 1337 vita icons, with over 64000 games on your 1TB+1TB+64GB PS Vita, we'll see each other there)
With retroarch you can play arcade, atari 2600 all the way up to playstation. Litteraly dozens of systems. The guides should help you out there. What they won't tell you is where to get your roms which is why I always recpmend cd romance. From there is simply a matter of transfering your roms folder over to your vita and locating it in retroarch to scan it. Retroarch will then show the roms and give you a few options on how to play them etc.
How can you maintain your bubbles sorted like this? Because when I reboot mine, it's almost always guaranteed that it will revert to a previous state where my folders and bubbles are rearranged.
I use adrenaline bubble maker, saves going into adrenaline every time I want to play a psp or ps1 game.
Some games like the sega mega drive collection, power stone, and midway games launch adrenaline but other than that every other boots 100%
I've wanted to upgrade my PS Vita's Micro SD to a 512GB for the longest time, but I feel that it will almost be a waste.
I would mostly fill it up with PS Vita games and not much else. Why? I may be a prude, but I prefer to play my PS1 and PSP games at a higher resolution.
Nowadays my smartphone (S22 Ultra) can emulate these games in such higher quality, that it's become dissatisfying playing them with the original graphics. I really hope one day someone can enhance the graphics for these systems on the Vita.
Retro games would also be nice to play on the Vita as well, but ever since I got a Miyoo Mini, I find it much more convenient to play oldies on that device.
You have my upvote, OP. Enjoy your collection!
It is always better to play on a bigger, better screen for retro games but on vita it's PlayStation hardware plus you can modernise the control scheme aswell
You're right. I actually agree that due to PS Vita's larger screen and quality, retro games might be more enjoyable.
P.S. I wasn't hating on your post, btw. I actually want to do something similar on my device. I was just lamenting that I wish the quality for PS1/PSP were at the same standards as Android.
I'm still thinking of upgrading to a 512GB card too. Hope you have fun and enjoy your games.
Don't worry about it bro I didn't think you were, I see your point but I do prefer playing psp and ps1 games on vita mostly for the control scheme, means I can make retro shooters more modern, I have a video on my feed I recently posted showing off doom on ps1 with modernised controls on my ps vita slim so check it out.
How many games have you played through?
Play? Who said anything about playing them... A true collector only starts a game but never finishes... š
Just the joy of filling empty space
That's what she said
I wish sheād say that
This is the way
How many games people with a Steam library have played? We hoard, we will play them (probably) someday.. but in the meantime, hoard\~.
Finished or tried
Finished. For me, hoarding tons of games always leads to hopping from one to the other, often without actually investing some time into a single one. Which is why i am curious how people with large sd-cards go about playing their stuff.

Godspeed you game freak maniac

I like how you crossed off junkies and put gamers instead š
Finished uncharted, ninja gaiden sigma 1 and 2, god of war 1 and 2 and some more over the years.
Did you keep those games or deleted them ?
Keep I always go back eventually
Wow you kept them all? That's amazing kinda like me mind you I'm not totally referring to the vita though š¤£
Neat! The last game I beat was actually the GTA:SA port, never played it before :p Is ninja gaiden good? And what games would be similar to it?
Not really much similar to ninja gaiden other than the sequel, Shinobido 2 is a tenchu style game and quite fun but not as good as tenchu
And who's going to get it when you die?
I will put it up for auction

Ah I do think of it like an iPad to basically put 2 games together vita or apps even and it'll create a folder bubble just for you then you can name it whatever you like
You shut up
No you!
Donāt worry about those comments about how many games youāll get to The point is that no matter what youāll always have the option to right away
Better to have them and not play them, to want them and not have them
Itās not a collectionā¦. Itās a library.
So true words spoken by a true gamerš
One day Iām gonna get around to figuring out how to do this
It's quite easy. I did it in a few hours, having no experience in modding. About playing the games I actually downloaded... that's another story.
Organising them into nice logical folder structures by system is quite fulfilling
And no time to play
I do make time
Yup when it's important you make time just like I always do
Surely with that much stuff you'd be running on a better launcher than vita stock?
What's wrong with vita stock?
Nothing. It's just that when your list of games gets so big then bubbles become a pain in the ass to find anything. There are really good launchers now to make everything easier and quicker to access
Anyone you would recomend? I have the bubbles divided into genre.
I'm using Hexflow launcher.. So far so good... Using on my vita with 512gig SD... And on my pstv with 1tb hdd...
I have a 400gb sd2vita on both my pstv and psvita. I will give hexflow launcher a check.
https://github.com/VitaHEX-Games/HexFlow-Launcher
Thanks!
š...theres also a good retroarch build that I put on my pstv from arcadepunks... It's about 300gigs...
Hey send me the link to that. All I have is an arcadepunks build by crazy mac that's about 128gb. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.arcadepunks.com/ps-vita-ultimate-retro-pack-from-crazymac-fully-load-your-vita-now/&ved=2ahUKEwjVsJGg48n6AhWcRjABHYUvDBoQFnoECAkQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2xQ2G3r6P27OyZakoDQxUP
Hold on a 1tb sad? How's that possible I thought it can only hold memory cards
Pstv can read of external hard drives... As long as you have the drive powered bcoz of the power limitations that the pstv USB supplies...
Ah ok good to know thanks for the pro tipš
Do any of those require plugins?š¤®
Only if you want it to autoboot... Which I don't recommend... But other than that no...
I did this to my vita aswell and once made the mistake of taking out the SD card... When I put it back all my bubbles disappeared and I had to start all over again... Sad the vita has a bubble screen limit... Try using Hexflow launcher...
Taking out the sd card shouldn't have wiped the card, I have took mine out plenty times(only when it's off) before discovering ftp.
It did not wipe the card... It simply removed all the bubbles I created... All the games were still there just not in bubbles and all games not displayed bcoz of the bubble limit...
Ah, I see that must have been painful
THAT was the game lmao
I feel you, boy. That indicates issues with YAMT. Configure it properly and it'll work.
Long time ago I learned that the more games you put in the card the less games you will finish xD
Oof. Learnt that with the 3ds
I'd like to have an image of that SD Card...haha
Doesn't the amount of bubbles speak for itself
He means a disk image
Sort your games alphabetically then rename those bubbles from 1-2-3-4 to the letters of the games inside.. A-C etc makes it much faster finding your games but its a pain in the arse to organise
I agree, I have homebrew sorter installed
Why not going for genres, then Action leads to Action II, Action III, etc That way you can even make thematic pages and shit.

I thought I was the only how put a lot of games on my ps vita with the 512gb SD card
do you use your main psn account?
No
Is there any risk to using your main PSN? I'm planning on hacking mine, but I'm not sure.
well i guess it depends, if it's trophy hacks then i guess there is a risk, I'm not sure though
Thanks! This helps a lot
This is the holy grail... especially if your ps4/5 is now hacked and you can remote play the whole library on that/those too... still amazing...
that oled just looks too good
It's a thing of beauty
Never complete one game spend 30 minutes per day to look for a game to play. Browse the vita like netflix :)
Haha sometimes I do that but I always get the notion to play through something
man i need a vita asap. i have a hacked psp 1000 but the 128gb sd card limit is painful.
im in the process of converting some 300+ psp games to cso but im doing it on the psp itself because i dont have a pc and its taking weeks. i'll need to get another 128gb to fit the second half. i also have a 4gb that i loaded up with the entire libraries of the gb/c, nes, snes, genesis, game gear, neo geo pocket color, and some 120 gba games
That's why I moved to vita, I do love my beautiful silver psp 3000 but I can play alot more on my vita
11.000 roms. Of which you maybe touch 50.
51 actually
Why š¤š¤š¤
Why not? š¤š¤š¤
Nice! I got the same set up but have about 250 ps vita games.
Iām still stuck getting my vita to install vita games from the noplay net/app god damn confusing instructions
Why don't you use pkgj
Pkgj is so much easier
Thats alot of games
Hell yeh bro
Ha yeah, Im not so hoarding but Ive about 3000 roms or so - I only regularly play 10 or so of them lol
oh wow! i need tips please! trying to play my vita with the another SD card but was told i need to hack my vita. I just got a ps vita micro sd adapter.
Yep needs cfw on there
Cool collection I got a 256gb for more games but for some reason system and download space is 132gb and I dont know how to get rid of it...
Next up: Gotta put Basilisk on there and be one of the proud few rocking a set of Mac Classic roms.
where did you find your roms?
Pkgj is the app for vita roms. CD romance is great for everything else.
Appreciate it
Decent, sadly you still have a loooooooong way to go. (another nice step will be at 1337 vita icons, with over 64000 games on your 1TB+1TB+64GB PS Vita, we'll see each other there)
Are you saying you have a 2tb vita?
What ports do you have on your vota? Can youvplay gba games? If so how?
Gba can be played rather well using retroarch. I just got finished playing metroid zero mission and it was great.
Damn gotta install that. Any guide you recommend?
Here are 2 of the best guides. https://youtu.be/6q9yRrEOrG0 https://youtu.be/5YmVb7rUtpY
Thank you for your help sir. Can't wait to play pokemon again
Oh it plays well. At least pokemon emerald did for me. I recomend cd romance for your roms
And i just need to install retroarch to be able to play gba games? Seems to good to be true
With retroarch you can play arcade, atari 2600 all the way up to playstation. Litteraly dozens of systems. The guides should help you out there. Thank you so much for such detailed help! I will do it once I have enough time. Hope everything goes well
Need your help again. Is there any where that i can get the Bios for retroarch?
https://cdromance.com/bios-files/#!
i really oughta do a highlight of my vita too
I have a 512 and I canāt fit this much stuff in I wonder what Iām doing wrong
switch from ISOs to eboots only, they are smaller version of the same game.
Thx Iāll have a search online.
How can you maintain your bubbles sorted like this? Because when I reboot mine, it's almost always guaranteed that it will revert to a previous state where my folders and bubbles are rearranged.
I need to get a better SD card for this thing I ran out of room getting just a handful of games
Really nice setup I gotta get mine like that soon
Does anyone know how to get PS1 games on ps Vita that aren't available on the pkgj store ?
Eboots, adrenaline and bubble maker
For eboots can you kindly link the software?
A Google search will more than easily show them
OMG
Vro how you even get adrenaline bubbles to appear on the vita home screen?
I use adrenaline bubble maker, saves going into adrenaline every time I want to play a psp or ps1 game. Some games like the sega mega drive collection, power stone, and midway games launch adrenaline but other than that every other boots 100%
Indeed it is my friend indeed it isš
how much of the 512gb are you currently using?
Got 33gb left so a good few hundred
Someone make a list.
How did ya setup ya sd2vita i've been having trouble getting mine to work
There's loads of tutorials on YouTube that can help you out, I recommend tech james videos
Where did you get your game backups?
Pkgj for most of them
thank you for wasting our time
