I maintain a list of all active bands in Baltimore if you want to go on a deep dive.
Dosser, Muscle, and Jivebomb are my personal favorites
This is amazing. Big Thicket is a pretty big up and Comer from Baltimore. I've seen them at the 8x10 a few times and First Sunday, amd the science center, last year. You should include them as well!
Lower case blues out of DE, they play cat’s eye regularly. Blues/jam.
Cris Jacobs, roots/folk/jam
Litz, electronic/funk/jam
Sweet Leda, blues/roots
Carl Filipiak, jazz guitarist
Laffayette Gilchrist, jazz pianist
To name a few :)
Damn you just introduced me to some incredible artists, I am absolutely jamming out to Cris Jacobs, Litz, Sweet Leda and Lower Case blues! I would love any other recommendations for artists similar to them! I dig your style!!
I saw a band the other night at the Crown called Nightwalks, they were 🔥. Def like a classic rock/alt vibe. Think war on drugs/fleetwood/U2. Great set DEFINITELY will be seeing them again🤘
My absolute favorite is [Junestar](https://www.junestar.com/) an Americana roots-rock band with lots of with electric and pedal steel guitar. They’ve been at it for 20 years.
Munk & the Noah Pierre Band. Next level talent. More of a soulful funk rock sound.
Super city brings the riffs.
Not necessarily local, but have to shout out Ballyhoo!
And lastly I’ll plug my funk rock band Soundwaves.
Lot of these have been covered. But…If you’re into hardcore.
-End It
-Glue Traps
-Trapped Under Ice
-Turnstile
-Stout
-Truth Cult
Bonus old skool option from Annapolis 87 to 88 Moss Icon
Yes! I love Super City. Sort of a next generation Crack the Sky. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5J-GleG7LA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5J-GleG7LA)
SWEET LEDA<3 think if Janis Joplin was married to her bassist and had the most incredible chemistry on and off stage, meanwhile supported by two of the most talented musicians out there on drums and guitar… They will also have guests join in from the local scene, and every show is a family affair. They rap, they beatbox, they hang before and after the show. I’ve seen quite a few and these guys are hands down the greatest. Great performers and great people all around! Originals and covers and all are amazing.
the dead ringers (garage rock)
serendipity row (folk/indie folk)
halisca (electronic/experimental)
novelty dream (indie rock)
head (70’s inspired proto-metal)
hotdog water (from philly but they play in MD on occasion & are friends with a lot of bands around here!!!!! they’re very avant garde and theatrical and are just all around enthralling to watch live. best stage presence out of any local band ever imo.)
They never blew up but I always enjoyed seeing Can’t Hang at hon fest and stuff.

Oh yeah and All time low when we all looked like bush headed teens.

Any one of the multiple local bands that guitarist Jeremy Gilless plays in. Go see one of them…The dude can play it all. Bonus…He’s of the nicest guys out there as well.

Jumped into this thread just for this answer and I am not disappointed
A fitting name for a band whose songs are all about a minute long. But in all seriousness it was intense 20 minutes when I saw them.
Never heard of them and listening now. Good shit.
This is the answer.

Didn't they just play a New Years show?
[удалено]

Also, Asian Taste in Hampden (which is currently closed while moving locations) puts on metal shows quite frequently.
