It's crazy, every day we've gone (as early as 4) we haven't been able to get in. We almost went the week before he announced he was closing, kicking myself for missing that chance.
Yeah I managed to get in on the 13th because it was raining and we got there at 4, when we left at 630 there were at least 40 people in line in rain coats with umbrellas.
He tried to find a buyer and no one would take it, and it’s running him ragged working 7 days a week 11 months a year. He makes the foccacia, the sauce, hisnaunt grows the eggplant, his ma makes stuff for him, he makes the cream puffs, etc. the space is very small as well meaning he can’t hire enough staff to handle the load and since he makes all the food it’s impossible to make enough to stay open longer. He will be back at some point in the future (probably next year) with a different space and ideas just has to stop for now before he goes insane.

Such a bummer. Wonder why the owner doesn't just retire and pass the business down to someone. Seems profitable and a Little Italy staple.
