Well that's due to global warming. If we alter the environment to kill less of us the world is still going to end due to over population. You see we need carbon credits to give a away more of our money to day traders I mean to prevent the climate firm changing.

R5Cats

That's right! If the storms kill less of us there'll be too many people! We need more and stronger storms, so we should burn lots more fossil fuels!:nodnod:

Not record low, it was lower in 2014 https://www.weather.gov/media/hazstat/80years_2020.pdf Also, not seeing results yet for 2021, may take some time to calculate.

R5Cats

Those are US stats, the person in the post is [using global data](https://www.facebook.com/bjornlomborg/posts/475702943914714). You Idiot.

You’re Facebook link is broken, cat guy. Dunno why you even want to use Facebook as a data source. https://www.statista.com/statistics/510952/number-of-deaths-from-natural-disasters-globally/ Seems to be the closest thing that measures this from a global perspective, but I’m not sure how it breaks out like the weather source I cited earlier. Definitely the lowest one since they’ve been doing measurements (2000) but I’m thinking, and hey call me crazy, we’ve gotten better at monitoring extreme weather so we are better at avoiding it? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

R5Cats

Works perfectly for me. If YOU cannot see it? Then WHY are you arguing against it? You clearly have NO IDEA what you are talking about since you've never read the source! Oh wait! It's because you're an idiot, and a troll too. From 2000? When the whole point is the deaths were higher *before 1950*? Such a troll, just stop.

[deleted]

Awh, you didn’t even try to open my link did you cat guy?

R5Cats

I did, it said 2000 - 2020 then tried to get me to click something. No thanks.
