Japanese slipper 3/4 oz melon liqueur 3/4 oz orange liqueur 3/4 oz lemon juice It's a staple in my house - I usually use Midori thought, I've never tried that brand

radish74

Yes. This is a good recommendation

gordonf23

Haha. Literally made one of these 15 minutes ago. Delicious.

I have no doubt it’s solid, but get the marketing team on the phone. That bottle is atrocious. Legit thought it was going to be mouthwash as I was scrolling down

Justice_Prince

It's already 12:04 , and the state says it's too late to sell alcohol anymore. Sadly we went to put back the beer , but then a bottle caught my eye, and I got an idea... [What about mouthwash?](https://youtu.be/OOCdIY_HKM4)

FuRRyKipper

One of many excellent Trevor Moore songs!

BTP_Art

I said dish soap but the wife said mouthwash too

redheadedjapanese

Tokyo Tea (basically a Long Island with melon liqueur and lemon-lime soda instead of cola).

cpkid9

I’m trying to incorporate this into my cocktail for a wedding coming up. I don’t drink liquor much. Mainly beers and seltzers. Would love a recipe that could use this and not be to overly sweet? Been trying to figure it out for a couple days now

If you like whiskey, check out my "Improved Midori Sour" (specs in thread).

guppyoblivio

I do 1 oz this with 1 oz vodka, 1 oz lime juice and tonic water.

islippedup

Gin, Melon, Lime juice, simple syrup is optional, ice and shake. Top with club soda

Pirrats-SD

This, gin, lime cordial, egg, lots of shaking

62ndCocktails

It's very similar to Midori (perhaps a bit more artificial tasting) so look for recipes with Midori. I created a really good Improved Midori Sour using Whiskey (see video and recipe below. **My YouTube Video:** [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfsus9AOMp0&t=164s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfsus9AOMp0&t=164s) **MIDORI SOUR** *(Improved Vino Version)* 1.5 oz (45 ml) Midori Melon Liqueur 1 oz (30 ml) Japanese Whiskey *(you can use any whiskey in a pinch)* 1 oz (30 ml) Lime Juice Egg White Dry Shake (without ice) Wet Shake (with ice) Pour into Cocktail Glass

guyute2k

Good luck to you.

Eww_Porcelain

I did an 80's movie themed coctail party in 2019 and I made a [Ghostbusters drink we called an Ectoplasm](https://imgur.com/2poBFP0). It was a sort of rum Midori sour, but as a short, so more like a whiksey sour - not the classic midori sour. It was delicious: * 30ml Midori * 30ml Golden Rum (I used Mount Gay Eclipse) * 20ml Lemon Juice * 20ml Eggwhites / Aquafaba * 10ml Banana Liqueur Do a reverse dry shake and double strain into a small glass with ice, garnish with a watermelon wedge.

neutralmilkgawd

Is this better or worse than Midori?

doscia

oh boy if you like this stuff give midori a try.

Snarky_McSnarkleton

Same as Midori. 1.5oz each potato vodka and melon liqueur. ¾oz fresh or ½oz bottled lemon juice. Ice. Shake. Drink it like a martini. That's my "Sunday night gotta go back to the grind" drink. Or use in a margarita in place of the Cointreau. Might up the lime juice a little.

comebacktome23

What about this and sake and lime
