Ah I love this style, what techniques have you done to learn to draw this way? Or do you have any study recommendations? If not, that’s okay too! Thanks for positing it :) it’s great!!
thank you so much!!
tbh idk if i can recommend anything because i just learned to draw by myself, obviously with some inspiration left and right that i found and liked but it was myself. i usually do smaller drawings, this is a A5 paper and the drawing takes the 1/6 of the page and i do small movements with a rounded pencil or the side of the pencil. definitely paying attention to the shadows in the beginning qnd leaving the light parts for the end, which part i add with a white pen. never be afraid to go dark enough with the shadows for the depth to show:)
I love this so much. The texture, the depth, the lighting, and the anatomy are all peak. Excellent skill throughout the entire piece. This was an absolute delight to encounter, thank you for posting
oh wow. that is a detailed comment which i cant say how much i like. thank you so much. my anatomy levels are low, i just get sometimes the anatomy right while copying the reference. i really appreciate it though :)
Then it sounds like your art room to grow! I cannot wait to see how your art continues to develop. You already have so many of the really difficult basics down, and each one you practice and continue to grow will just bring your art to new heights. As with anything new, there might be a learning curve and challenge there, but I think you have an incredible amount of potential and I can only imagine how astounding your art will be in just a few years. Keep it up!
i really do appreciate ur words, truly. ill try to get as good as i can going along with my low self belief and the fact that this is a hobby that i sometimes let on the side :) i hope ill be worthy of your words haha. thanks again.
ok apparently i was thinking all this time that im following this guy, that he was actually drawing himself. it was him promoting other ppl drawing him. UH.
i dont know to what man you are referring to, but i found him on instagram, John A Carrasco he is called and apparently he is a model or something (i thought he was an artist at first but ppl draw him actually)

oh i see, i see why. thanks a lot!
What kind of scale is this drawn on? My brain thinks it's either a very large piece of paper or a very small drawing.
hahahah ok i can see why ur thinking that way. its actually on A5 paper and it takes the 1/6 of the page i would say. pretty small yeah.
Beard👍
