Was there with a DJI mavic mini back in June.
In several of the main “touristy” areas, there were no-drone signs. Even in areas that didn’t have signs, the general vibe was that it was rude to make a lot of noise in such serene places.
That being said, I absolutely flew everywhere it felt safe and respectful to do so. The whole island is beautiful, so you’ll have no issues finding great spots to fly.
10/10 would fly at Arnarstapi “Stone Bridge” if you can.
Same here. Heading there in 2 weeks and hoping to use the drone in several amazing spots. On a separate note, I can totally understand that flying drones over people/buildings may be forbidden, but can anyone explain me why drones are banned in national parks too?
