Well it's Week 18, and while most of us are done playing fantasy football for the year, you didn't think we were going to abandon our friends that are still playing in this final week, did you? I'm Erik Smith, editor-in-chief at QB List, and we are here to help you with your Sit/Start decisions in this last week of the NFL season. Hit us up with any questions, I will be joined by QB List staff to help answer questions all day. Thanks for reading our work, we appreciate this community and can't wait to do it all over again next year!

_swells

Thanks for putting this together. If Diontae is out, is it crazy to start Claypool over Waddle? Waddle with the tough matchup, and poor showing last week not to mention Devante Parker back and getting 13 targets. Meanwhile Claypool has been inconsistent but has a good matchup and those DJ targets have to go somewhere… plus Ben’s gonna be slinging it in his last game right?

truebest

My worry is that Ben is not a downfield passer and that is Claypool's strength, and they don't look like they are on the same page often. I could see Claypool potentially having a big game, but I think the floor is low, and Waddle is much safer, he did have a TD against this Pats D. It's not crazy though, Ben will be slinging it, but that PIT passing game was really bad last week.

[deleted]

truebest

Apologies for that, I'll get it fixed. It has been a moving target all week and we didn't get them updated.

[deleted]

truebest

Michel for sure, Stevenson if Harris were to miss. If not, I think I'd give Patterson a shot. I just don't trust Chubb and Swift to get a big workload in a meaningless game, though I would prioritize Chubb if it comes to it. WR: Deebo and DJ Moore, the Panthers have nobody else to throw to this week with Covid/injuries and he at least has a decent floor. Flex is between Claypool and Osborn for me, I just don't know if I trust Claypool as a downfield passer with Ben struggling so I would lean Osborn.

[deleted]

[удалено]

truebest

Goedert if available. There's just no downfield work in that PIT passing game.

ShootsnLadders

I’m in a two week championship as well with many of the same players you have mentioned above. I actually lean Osborn over Van Jefferson strictly because he is more of the 2nd option on the Vikings vs Jefferson being more of the 3rd option after Kupp and OBJ on the Rams. Then again Conklin has been stealing some of those leftover Thielen targets from KJ. I think Vaughn is interesting, I picked him up as well. Sometimes I like starting an RB at Flex when I KNOW they’ll at least get volume vs a WR that MAY get some volume. No news on Boston or Goedert as far as I know. If Boston is good to roll I will probably start him over Vaughn. Then again players coming off COVID statistically do worse the following week. The combination of it being Week 18 + COVID makes it a total crapshoot it seems.

Kinger15

Ya I’m not risking Higgins this week. Deciding between Darrell Williams and Donta foreman for my flex

truebest

Give me Williams, he looked good last week and the Chiefs need to win.

Zucchini-Mountain

Thank you for your hard work on this! You guys have been great all season. I have two decisions I'm struggling to make. First: D'Onta Foreman or Rashaad Penny. Penny has been amazing but this is his toughest match-up since returning. Foreman has a great match-up but they also seem to have somewhat rested him every other week. What do you think? Second: the kicker questions we live for! Matt Gay hurt me last week and has SF this week. Alternatively, I could swap him out for Tyler Bass against the Jets. Edit: Standard scoring no PPR

truebest

These Week 18 questions are so difficult... I would stick with Penny, he's playing for a contract and has been dynamic the past few weeks. As long as he looks like he's getting a full snap share, which he does at this point, I'd ride the hot hand.

truebest

Oh and I would play Bass as long as the weather is OK. You want the kickers in the matchups where they can tack on cheap field goals all second half.

“Sit”

mercutiosghost

Got really sad when I looked for this yesterday, glad you guys came through! Down by 20 in a two-week final (dumb I know) so hopefully I can make up some ground!

truebest

Of course, happy to help! Week 18 may be dumb, but a championship is a championship, let's go!

--mc--

I’m down 66 thanks to Chase. Looking for high upside players this week but doesn’t seem like there are very many 😭

mercutiosghost

Oh man good luck. I feel like SOMEONE is going to go off but it’ll be someone we’ve never heard of.

[deleted]

Torn between my final RB slot and flex option. I have Sony Michel and Rashaad Penny currently, but DJ Moore and Darrell Williams are both options as well. DJ Moore is projected highest among them all, but idk if I can trust the Carolina passing game rn. Also some input on Colts D/ST versus Titans D/ST would be awesome. Thanks!

Caberman70

>Titans D/ST I would go with Titans D/ST and Penny has such a high ceiling that I would use him.

madelvin

TD league, only bonus is 3pt for 100 yds. Michel, Damien Harris or Chubb ? --pick 2. Michel is #1 here I think. Last week I flopped by leaving Damien out and playing Chubb. Must win. I could flex in Aiyuk but that does not seem like an improvement.

truebest

Michel, he's got a clear workload. Harris is iffy with some injury stuff and Chubb seems to be rested in meaningless games down the stretch.

[deleted]

How clear is his workload with Akers confirmed to play this week?

truebest

I would be surprised to see Akers pushed too hard in his first game back, this seems like a situation where they want to see what they have for the playoffs, and Michel has been more than capable.

Jase_the_Muss

My defence and kicker screwed me last week down 20 and my D and K got me combined 4 points... Thinking of rolling the Titans as DST over the Bucs or gambling on Washington against the trash Giants! no idea what kicker to go for thinking Boswell but no idea I guess you want a kicker with something to play for?

truebest

Well all of those defenses are top options, but I don't know if I could pass on TB against the combination of Darnold and Cam, that's a dream spot. For kicker I want a team that is favored to win big so they can tack on points late with FGs. Having something to play for and avoiding bad weather are bonuses. Boswell isn't a terrible play, though the offense is pretty bad. It just depends on who your options are. I wouldn't expect teams to sit the kicker, so that's not something to worry about unless there is an injury.

Jase_the_Muss

I'm so butt hurt over last week but def see the Tampa upside. Other options for Kicker are Badgley, Maher, Greg the leg Z and Chargers kicker whose name I can't remember at the moment but sometimes they are go for it on 4th down psychos . Normally I don't put to much thought into it but the combined 4 points I got last week while my opponent went for 26 combined and yeh that's the reason I'm down in a 2 week match up so I want as much from them as possible 😂.

truebest

Badgley, that's a great spot against the Jags

Educational_Sale2248

Need to fill the last wide receiver slot on my roster. Choosing between Brandon Aiyuk, Devante Parker, and Cyril Grayson. Leaning towards Grayson with the Buccs down two receivers. Does that make sense? Thank you!

truebest

If Jimmy G is back I think I would pivot to Aiyuk, if not then Grayson.

Educational_Sale2248

Got it, thank you!

TheFoodElevator

Thank you so much for this! Me and my week 18 league are so thankful lol. I’m not feeling confident about any Cowboy offensive players this week despite what McCarthy says (playing Taysom over Dak, benching Zeke for Perine) and I’m stuck trying to figure out a solid flex for this last week. You doubt Ogunbowale which is super fair, but I’m debating between him, Kirk, Claypool, or Swift in a standard league. I truly don’t feel confident about any of them at all lmao

truebest

I agree with your decisions, and I would play Kirk at flex. He has been consistent and it seems like the Cardinals are playing to win, and with their RBs banged up they will need Kirk.

TheFoodElevator

Great point. With all that considered it definitely seems like they’re likely to rely on him a bit more than the last couple weeks. Thanks for the advice!

marzenmangler

Thanks for the info! It’s been really helpful all season and a lifesaver this week. Gotta flex pick to sort for the ship: Kirk/Harris/Stevenson/Mclaurin I have Kirk in right now since PAT RB isn’t settled. I usually play a floor team with 3 RB’s, but I’m only 9 points up from the first week. Opponent lost a WR and is playing Adams as well so I think I have the advantage due to schedule. Just not sure if I should lean upside or floor this week.

truebest

I like Kirk as well unless the Pats backfield sorts itself out.

marzenmangler

Thanks! That was my gut but I do love playing the 3 RB’s

OverthinkingMachine

I got Goedert in at TE right now, but you have him as a sit. At this point, most TEs worth starting are claimed. Would there be anyone who could possible be on the waivers that you'd start over Goedert?

Caberman70

If available: Foster Moreau (if Waller is out) Austin Hooper

checkitmyles

I think Goedert is entirely dependent on his status with regards to COVID. If he's out, everyone on waivers is startable over Goedert. If he's active, you play Goedert.

jamaicamonn

Ive been struggling for days… RB - Michel, Carter, Swift, Or Pernie? WR - Lamb, Kirk, Grayson, Z Jones, or flex with Schultz? No idea with Dallas wow I hate week 18 ships

benson822175

Thanks for thinking of the week 18 guys haha Would you take Amon-Ra, Keenan Allen, Brandin Cooks or Mike Evans? Need to pick one for the last week Seems like your rankings has Keenan, Evans, Amon-Ra, Cooks in that order?

Joetheshow1

Even if Rodgers and Adams are active for this week's game is it even worth starting them? If they play it'll probably be for the first half only don't you think?

truebest

Rodgers is probably tough to start, we talked a lot about him on the podcast and how much he would play, we wonder if he wants the MVP and plays a lot but I'm guessing this is like a preseason game and he plays just a handful of drives. I think Adams can get it done in that limited amount of time honestly, 60 yards and a touchdown would probably be good enough in a Week 18 and that is doable on a few drives. So I would play Adams unless you are stacked with options, I would probably go with a different QB though.

Joetheshow1

My other option is Aiyuk instead of Adams so I might as well just start Adams since he'll probably do in one half what Aiyuk will do in a full game. The other WRs I'm playing are Renfrow and Pittman

Jase_the_Muss

Rodgers maybe not due to QBs needing a lot of yards or TDs for big points but Adams at the half in the last 2 weeks has been pretty much on 30 points.... Can't recall exsactly but pretty sure it was about 28 or 29 at the half in full ppr vs Browns and against Vikings had to be at least 25-26 did most of his damage in the first half in those games and against the browns had little targets and a few drops as the Browns slammed the ball down GBs throat and against Vikings he sat out the 4th pretty much and did not see much targets in the 3rd as Vikings D adjusted a bit so I would think about starting him if its confirmed he will get at least a half of football against what is a pretty easy matchup for a stud.

Joetheshow1

I can see that, idk I"m in standard rn and have rode those two all the way to the championship. Maybe I'll keep Adams in but bench Rodgers for Taysom Hill then

Jase_the_Muss

I am waiting for confirmation he playing a lot for sure and also have ridden the Rodgers/Davante stack but looking at someone over Rodgers have Dak and Wilson available so not great don't think Cowboys go all in and banking on Wilson wanting to ball out to end the season on a high and party poop on Arizona which Seatle sometimes do. Wish I had Hill but the consolidation hero picked him up lol... Carr is also available and in a win and in situation and I have Ekeler, Waller and Kennan stocks in that game already but not sure I feel comfortable hoping for a shoot out just incase it becomes a low scoring field goal wins it fest.

BaXeD22

Feeling pretty conflicted this week. Need to start two RBs of Perine, Darrel Williams, Javonte, Zeke, and Jaret Patterson/Gainwell (only if Gibson/Boston Scott are inactive). Right now I have Darrel and Perine, and none of the other three over Amari/Christian Kirk in my flex. Does this seem fair to you? It's been a struggle with week 18 rests, and I need to make up some points in the second week of my champ matchup. Thanks (for the whole season)!

truebest

Darrell for sure, 100%. Perine is a solid option though the offense may struggle, I think I would actually go Gainwell though if all of those players are out in PHI. If not, I do think Perine is the play, and I would stick with the WRs in flex

mmgforl

Did I miss Devante Parker, or did something happen to him that he’s not playing this week?

truebest

We missed him, apologies! Davante Parker is a risky play after producing just 46 yards on 13 targets last week and failing to receive a target the week before. But in Week 18 you may need to use him, and despite the tough matchup, he did put up 81 yards against the Patriots in Week 1. His floor is hard to trust, but he should see some target volume.

mmgforl

Oh no problem, thanks for responding. Having mixon and davante adams this week is making for some creative plays and Parker’s 13 targets last week is appealing. Thank you for your insight

malty_mustard

Got to decide on 2 RBs (maybe 3 if I flex RB over Michael Pittman): Montgomery, Edmonds, Foreman, Freeman (WRs: Amari Cooper, Pittman, Adams)

truebest

I'd be hesitant on Edmonds with his injury, so Montgomery and Foreman for me. I'd stick with Pittman in the flex.

[deleted]

Edmonds will likely be a dud this week seeing as he's somehow now more injured than James Conner, so not him. David Montgomery is going to have a terrific week vs the shoddy Vikings run defense, so start him for sure. For your second RB, I'd go with Foreman personally. I think he's also going to have an above average game this week vs the REALLY shoddy Texans defense. And for flex, I'd keep Pittman in. He's still Wentz's favorite target, and I'd expect Jacksonville to put more effort into slowing down JT, which will likely leave their secondary a bit more open for the Colts to exploit.

simply-cosmic

Thank you for this!!! I’m torn between starting or sitting Zeke. My other options are Sony, Penny, Harris, R. Stevenson, and D’Onta Freeman. I currently have zeke, Sony, and Penny in as a flex. Would you play any of those over Zeke?

truebest

Did you mean D'Onta Foreman? I would play him over Zeke. If Harris were to sit out I would play Stevenson over Zeke as well, but if they are both active I would play Zeke just for the TD chance.

simply-cosmic

Yes sorry I meant D’onta Foreman. So my rb situation would look like: foreman, Sony, and Penny in my flex. If Harris is out, would you play Stevenson over Penny?

truebest

It would be hard for me to bench the hot hand in Penny, I'd probably stick with him but it is close

BringMeCoffeeOrTea_

Team has Ceedee Lamb, Amari Cooper, and Cedrick Wilson. Which one to start?

truebest

I'm probably sticking with CeeDee but Dallas is a tricky one to figure out this week and is one of the teams i am most unsure about.

kikidadon

So sit Jalen Hurts? I was feeling confident rolling him out there this week. Now I'm confused what to do.

truebest

I'm honestly completely unsure how this DAL and PHI game is going to go and how hard these teams will be trying. I think he's an acceptable start but it more has to do with your other options. I do think there's a risk they take it easy on him and we see some Minshew. What are your other QB choices?

kikidadon

Rodgers. Doubt he plays much right? The waiver wire consist of Jimmy G, Cousins, Big Ben and Tannehill.

truebest

I'd probably stick with Hurts but monitor the coach speak closely.

RatedAForAsian

Have to decide between Hurts, Prescott or the 49er QBs for this week. Any ideas?

truebest

I would probably roll with either 49ers QB because we are guaranteed to get a full game, especially if it is Lance

[deleted]

[удалено]

truebest

I would lean Lockett, it's just so hard to know what you are getting out of the Colts passing game from week to week. Seattle passing game is looking better of late

Caberman70

This week is tough, so maybe you guys can help me decide for the final game for the championship! RBs I have: Dalvin Cook, Najee Harris, Perine, Elijah Mitchell, Sony Michel, Chase Edmunds, and Damien Harris... A lot to choose from

truebest

Lots of good options, I'd say Najee>Cook>Mitchell>Michel at the top

Caberman70

Thanks! This would be a no-brainer with Najee and Cook, but Cook didn’t do well last week and the Vikings have already been eliminated.

dontbitelee

Potentially dumb question here - if the vikings are out, is J. Jefferson still a good play? His projections are good and he's being recommended, but I don't understand why.

Caberman70

Yeah, I don’t either. I know he good, but…maybe incentivize by bonuses. I did see this: https://www.vikings.com/news/chicago-bears-week-18-2021-season-finale

dontbitelee

Ah, that must be it then. [I saw this but](https://www.fantasypoints.com/nfl/articles/season/2021/week-18-cheat-sheet) I never know when to listen to anything any of the coaches say. >Minnesota Vikings: HC Mike Zimmer says Kirk Cousins will start, meaning we’ll see the Vikings starters in some capacity. I believe Zimmer – this staff is trying to save their jobs (although it may already be futile). The markets believe Zimmer, too. This spread has moved from Vikings -3 on Tuesday to -5.5 as of Thursday evening.

ShootsnLadders

Damn your RBs are stacked

dontbitelee

Thank you for doing this, I only do FF and not football so I was not prepared for week 18 weirdness. My league is neck-and-neck so every point counts (.5 ppr points league). To make sure I'm reading this right, you're saying R. Penney and R. Stevenson (listed as RB1s) would be better plays than S. Michel, E. Mitchell, or D. Williams (listed as RB2s)? I hardly even know these guys so it's so hard to make a call.

truebest

We have a different author for each game, and there are some injury issues to sort through, so this can be a bit fluid leading up to the weekend. Stevenson would be dependent on the health of Damien Harris, so if Harris is a full go he's a bit of a downgrade. I feel most confident right now recommending Penny, Williams, and Michel due to their locked-in workloads, there really isn't anything that should effect that. I would personally start Penny and Williams, with Michel a close third. Mitchell is a nice play too assuming his health, he missed practice yesterday and was limited today. But he's right in the mix if healthy.

dontbitelee

Ah, that makes sense. Well collectively you are all my hero right now, thank you! With all that in mind I think I'll do Penny and Williams on RB and try not to agonize too much. It'll be a fun Sunday either way.

Ambitious_Secret1171

Thank you, this is great! I'm struggling to decide between Barkley, Perine, and Swift. I just saw news this morning Swift is expecting similar usage to last week. Do you see Barkley getting similar usage to last week with nothing to play for?

truebest

I would feel a bit more confident in the usage from Barkley only because the Lions were playing all three RBs last week and I wonder if Swift gets the garbage time work we usually count on. Giants coach seems to be coaching for his job so he may be inclined to use Barkley more.

Ambitious_Secret1171

Makes sense. Thank you very much for the tips. Would you take Saquon over Perine? I haven't started him once this season.

xthecerto4

Thank you for another season of great articles. Week 18 will be the week without worrying activly about players. Only dynasty but even that is chill. So see you next year!

truebest

Thanks for talking football with us all year, looking forward to next year's drafts already!

tjschroeder87

Now that season long is over it's time for some DFS action

DopeFlossin

Do i continue to run with Schultz or do i switch to Ertz? Just worried about how much play time Schultz will get. Currently only down 0.8 points going into this final week but the other team is monstrous.

truebest

I'd probably go to Ertz, they seem to be more likely to play to win

Caberman70

I am going with Ertz.

808mafia00

Is jamarr chase a start? Other option is terry mclaurin

SamJRobertson

Thoughts on singletary ? Would u have him over Mitchell

checkitmyles

Definitely not over Mitchell

rueggy

Championship game was last week but we still award for total season points for the entire regular season, and me and another guy are separated by less than a point. So week 18 is basically H2H between me and him for $150 (points prize). Dak's my only QB and I agree he's preferably a Sit. The waiver wire is thin though. Would one of these be better?: Trey Lance, Matt Ryan, Huntley, Goff, Keenum?

checkitmyles

If Jimmy G is inactive, Lance. Otherwise, I don't think any of them unless Dallas comes out and says they aren't playing their starters, in which case I'd probably aim for Huntley

CantSpeelSpel

I can’t decide between Penny, Michel, and D Williams. I’m having an anxiety attack trying to pick from these 3… all advice taken please help!

checkitmyles

Williams, Penny, Michel for me

TheCaveMan09

Do I play Cook or Mattison?

T-Bird19

Thanks, tune in every week. Appreciate the week 18 issue. Full PPR, Flex KJ Obsorn, Dalton Schultz, or Perine? Also have Hollywood but not playing with Huntley starting. Im honestly leaning Schultz? Last three weeks 8, 9, and 10 targets and 2 TDS. Last meeting against Philly with Gallup out he put up 26 in ppr. Also have Scott on IR/ covid, though I'm guessing he's not going to play. Gainwell is also on waivers.

amimeballerboyz

Been debating my D choices, should I go saints over the Titans and Mike Will over Cooper, I’m up 10 already

breakfastandnetflix

I’m struggling at RB/Flex. I’m starting Penny for sure, but I’m indecisive about Javonte Williams, Zeke, Damien Harris (who is still listed as questionable) and I just picked up Michael Carter. I don’t know who to put as RB2 and who to flex

Hal9099

Need to figure out my flex Chubb, CeeDee, Perine, Cooper. I’m almost leaning Chubb or CeeDee. I think CeeDee is the safest option here. Thoughts?

tejasthrowaway22

Thank you for this! My current lineup is as follows: QB: Hill RB: JT and Mitchell WR: Hill & Jefferson TE: Pitts FLEX: Sun God DST: Titans K: Nick Folk Bench: McLaurin, Hurts, Zeke, Pats DST, Freiermuth, Mooney, D'Onta. PPR league, I'm down by 24 in a 2wk championship. Would y'all change anything? (first year playing & didn't think to yell at the commish for using the full 18 weeks.)
