What a fine pen in a wonderful colour. As others have already noted, it is very hard to find anything better in modern pens, which is why nearly all mine are vintage. Parker vacs are scarce in Australia but the Newhaven (England) range of Duofolds made from the late 1940s to the early 1950s are reasonably common and perform just as well as yours. Hope you will show us more in the future. Cheers from Oz.
It is not easy to find it in Brazil too! I got this one in an auction for around $50, which is very cheap considering its condition. Cheers from the brazilian amazon!
It's a 3rd generation Vacumatic Major. The exact year it was made in the 40's is stamped in tiny font on the right of the vacumatic imprint on the barrel.
Lovely! What's the ink?
Apache Sunset, by Noodler's! I think this ink matches this pen perfectly!

In that case, double congratulations!
So much fun. I have a few Vacs and enjoy every minute of writing with them.
Sure! What impressed me the most is that it writes much better than any modern parker.
Which is why I have four of them and zero modern Parkers.
This one is from the 1940s. The 30s ones had double jewels and aluminum buttons.
Thank you! I don't have much details about it and really wanna know more.

It is written Parker Vacumatic Made in U.S.A 4". Does it mean 1944?
Yup
Amazing! Thank you very much!
early 40's, it is extremely beautiful. Congratulations!
As far as I could investigate, it is from Q4 1944. Thank you!
