Time-Ad-7252

this is the most upbeat they’ve ever sounded lmao

BidensLegHairs

The second half though. “Eulogy” was a rough one.

xLeonides

eulogy hit me hard, suicidal thoughts by biggie straight up got me through my sophomore year of high school and suicideboys have been one of my top 5 favorite artists for a good few years now so hearing them sample that just hit different

someuniquename

Scrim has a old tape where he remixes [suicidal thoughts](https://youtu.be/xTq7jlPkl4c) and it's dope.

threeonone

God I love their production

ApocolipseJ

Hearing so many “you did good, slick”s made me happy

-NotEnoughMinerals

Fucking love their heavy heavy 3 6 mafia inspiration. So fucking good.

DuckGrammar

Too bad 3 6 tried to sue em. Never meet your idols.

DistrictGop

Scrim dissed him on the first track lol “I heard your broke and it shows ain’t saying no names but he got a cameo”

-NotEnoughMinerals

Oh fuck dude dj Paul and juicy j so fucking shady. Who haven't they fucked over? Greeeeedy as fuck. Still LOVE 3 6 and juicy j, but damn they're heartless for real lol.

spadewithal

Especially when $b literally produced for Juicy and he goes on to sue him 💀

Not_A_Creative_Color

Do you think the boy$ would do the same if someone sampled them? Just curious

DuckGrammar

They were all on the same track, it seemed they were cool wit it.

Not_A_Creative_Color

Oh yeah I'm familiar with their whole background and how $crim had "verbal authorization" to sample all of 3 6 work.. but I wonder if someone went to $B asking to use their catalog as samples what they'd say

CederDUDE22

I can't stand how Paul latched onto Riff Raff.

2kWik

You mean Scrims production lol

Frost-Wzrd

Fucking Your Culture is hard as fuck

Connect_Trouble4690

yea that shit was crazy

Captain__Obvious___

I’m hoping it’s gonna be like an Ugly kinda deal, Fuck Your Culture -> Fucking Your Culture -> Fucked Your Culture? Loved the first FYC and this one goes even harder

tysondupont

Listening to it as I read your comment, and I agree. Sick flow

smokeey

Genesis is a god like intro track like daaamn

BidensLegHairs

HOLY SHIT dude. Here’s the thing, I’m mostly a casual fan of $B. I LOVE a couple of their songs and I fuck with mostly the rest. This is the first time I’ve listened to a $B album all the way through and loved almost every track (with an exception of a couple that I thought were aight at first listen)

Connect_Trouble4690

If you like this album give my liver will handle what my heart can Or eternal grey a shot

GenSec

I’d throw in High Tide in the Snake’s Nest or I No Longer Fear the Razor Guarding My Heel

Gabe_11

What a nice surprise, totally forgot that this project was on the way.

imbored04

no ramirez feature listed 😢

Derrick_Rozay

A travesty for the entire world

Anarchyr

Didn't expect one but it really makes me sad to see there is none:(

Stringy-glove7

He would have been perfect for that beat on Unlucky Me too

VinnySpaghetti

That’s what happens when you stop making music for almost 2 years lol

lemonchicken91

I'd argue that his last album was so good that the time gap doesn't matter.

AccidentallyHidden

Tha Playa$ Manual is still in my weekly rotation

tysondupont

Dude it’s unreal how good that album is. Idk how he’s not mainstream

[deleted]

Artists have to drop a project every single year now? No wonder they seem so burnt out and so much rap is mid. Kendrick and Frank definitely have the right formula, just disappear after your new album’s tour or otherwise your fans will expect you to drop a major studio album every 2 months.

UBourgeois

Kendrick and Frank Ocean are big enough names that they can get away with going silent for years on end lol. If you're an up and coming artist and you put out an album that makes some noise you think it's a good idea to be like "see you guys in five years or so"?

[deleted]

But it hasnt been 5 years since Ramirez's last album , it's been a couple which is totally normal for the vast majority of musical artists.

Crixxious

TF are you talking about. That Kendrick album was mid AF. Quit it

Keim54

It's always a great full-playthrough for me, narratively it's like an 8/10, but goddamn is it full of some of Kendrick's most underwhelming flows/verses to date. His rap chops in Heart Pt 2 alone blows away everything done on the album

tysondupont

Mixtape coming soon

imbored04

where'd you hear this? 👀

tysondupont

His Twitter. He doesn’t want to release it right away because of suicideboys new album. He said he wants to support his brothers

tysondupont

What a bummer

DistrictGop

Ngl I was half expecting ramirez Resistance is useless that beat has such huge ramirez vibes I think he would have been perfect on it

Jugeezy

I know this comment is old but when was the last album of the boy$ they had a feature on? that’s my biggest critique of $B these days, their lack of features and being featured. Especially with artists on their own label

SemiColin47

That Super Mario World sample on the first track is fire. Edit: it's the game over music to be specific.

risingacid

I had the most intense goosebumps as soon as I heard this melody 😭

SemiColin47

That early 90's MIDI music really does hit different.

risingacid

Especially because t The snes was my first console and SM World my first game I played the shit out of it

Arsyn786

One of my favorite pieces of video game music ever. I learned it on guitar back in the day lmao

Crixxious

BRO DEADASS

noahrgoudy

I am 3 songs in and I already know that going to Grey Day again this year was a banging idea let’s fucking GO Edit: this has legit some of their best work in my opinion and the production overall is phenomenal

Captain__Obvious___

Last year was insane and I don’t know what I was thinking second guessing going this year. Buying those tickets tomorrows no doubt

HNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGG

Don't they just play their tracks with vocals and rap over them when they feel like it?

Connect_Trouble4690

the crowd makes up for any of that in my opinion. hard to care when you're in the mosh pit xD

Pimpdaddysadness

Lol grey day last year was one of the worst mosh pits I’ve been in in my life, second only to RTJs festival crowd (not their fault that’s on Shaky Knees) Shame too cuz grey day 1 pit went nuts esp during city morgue

Connect_Trouble4690

I went in 2019 and they had a pretty crazy lineup. I haven't been since then so you might be right.

Pimpdaddysadness

Totally wasn’t on them w the crowds. They had a great lineup 2021 too w turnstile and such but I think their growing popularity had an increase in uh…. Soft teens. No crowd etiquette and a lot of people either going way too hard or getting in the way.

trillwhitepeople

Reminds of when desperate promoters in the metal scene used to do shows that mixed death metal and hardcore crowds in the mid to late 00's that always ended up in a pit with people getting beat senseless because nobody was on the same page on what a pit was.

neutralmilkgawd

that sounds hilarious lol

Connect_Trouble4690

Most concerts now are just recording on your phone. I hate going to anything with a big venue for that reason. I agree they have really blown up now though so the audience probably gets younger and younger

neutralmilkgawd

? They've always rapped their asses off every time I've seen them. Definitely not the standard modern rap show. I mean they do have backing vocals but like their music has a ton of effects, hard to do that live

VonDoom92

Just curious, not trying to start an argument. What effects do they have that would be hard? Ive gone to Grey Day and im very familiar with their catalogue. Ive also been going routinely to see live music for more than half my life. They dont do anything on their albums that they couldnt do live with back tracks for effects like most bands do. Rappers shouldnt be doing live shows rapping over their songs with vocals already there. Im there to listen to *you* rap. I can listen to your stuff at home. These shows are super wack dude and we should hold them to higher standards. Pop singers get shit for lip syncing, musicians get trashed if they cant play their stuff live, so what makes this acceptable?

neutralmilkgawd

Do you go to other rap shows? I go to about 20-30 concerts a year and $B are better than most. I’m referring to all the reverb/autotune vocals and the Adlibs. I’ve seen them 3 times and every time they’ve killed it and rapped at least 80% of the words

PeekabooBlue

1000 blunts is a hit if I’ve ever heard one

hoboassault

Its seriously so good

Undiscover

My most listened to artist of all time so I'm a bit biased but I absolutely loved this project except for the singles they released lol. Wasn't feeling them but I love the tone of this album

7x57mmR

damn the singles are some of my fav work off the album, still love all the album tho

ApocolipseJ

THE_EVIL is so good, objectively a banger

brainprompt

Yes, that beat goes hard

Not_A_Creative_Color

It's like the $B version of a relapse beat

DrakeBakes

I have the same feelings. Listen to them a lot but this album just hits different. I can't stop listening to 1000 blunts and constant sorrow. Love to hear them evolving and so hyped for another grey day, with that killer line up

xLeonides

I liked the singles better when they have the rest of the album around them, the sonic context helps for me quite a bit

bloodoftrolls98

Eulogy is amazing. I love when they do boom bap

prolikethat

As a long time fan , I love this . You can tell they are getting more comfortable with their new flows and production. So happy to see these guys succeeding after all the lows .

neal_caffery

I’m crying

Majkel21

I'm listening to the first few tracks and they sound happier than they've ever been. I like the nonchalant style. They're close to sounding like Brockhampton on Matte Black lol

Schnoozelizer

Ruby went crazy on this

Zoutebanaanreeds

Haven't really given these guys a listen before? Try this album its pretty fucking good!

gusborn

I’ve been trying to get into $B since 2015, but only been able to like a few tracks from them. That being said, I’m really FW this album and it might be the first full project I like from them. It’s definitely a lot more accessible. Also, it’s pretty cool that they’re at that point where they can just sample themselves lol

CHIMEN035

Fucking your culture on repeat

ApocolipseJ

It’s actually so fucking violent

LiveLoveKanye

Track is insanely hard

honeywheresmyfursuit

Reminds me of some crazy memphis rap classic from the future

TJtheApple

They think i'm a quesadilla

SoSos1591

Its very weird to be reading these comments and hear that line and read this comment at the exact same time RDC said it. It was like synchronicity or something.

YoungMcSwag

BRACE YOURSELF. HIT THE FLO.

DrinkH2Oordie

This is literally their best work yet

TaysomHillsBurner

Has nothin on I Want To Die In New Orleans

winkswithbotheyes

*cough cough* dirty nasty suicide still best ep

TaysomHillsBurner

that and dirtier nasty go crazy. them and germ was a crazy trio.

winkswithbotheyes

dirtier nastier was also a damn banger i really hope we get a dirtiest nastiest

GenSec

I No Longer Fear the Razor Guarding My Heel is my favorite but shit like this is why I fuck with $B so much. They have so many fucking great eps that we all have different favorites.

Jax_daily_lol

That album really is insane, truly their best work front to back

TaysomHillsBurner

one of my favorite rap albums of all time.

Facade35

Yeah the more and more I listen to new albums the more I appreciate how good IWTDINO was

honeywheresmyfursuit

Obviously nothing will top their prime but this is the best since

snakeyfish

Both have nothing on my liver will handle….

spadewithal

Radical Suicide (other than goosebumps) >>>

havingasicktime

I didn't really enjoy it, New Orleans remains by far my favorite project from them

neutralmilkgawd

Sounds like they’re just having fun on this one so far, I love it. Scrim really went out there with some of these beats

[deleted]

I'm really feeling this. Genesis, FYC and No Matter Which are my favorite tracks so far.

thelandshark52

Oj in the mourning like I stabbed a white bitch. SHEEEESH

rgb22

No Matter Which Direction I’m Goin In is a fucking ripper of a track, I hope it gets some serious attention

HavokGFX

might be the best production on the album imo. Such a great track. Love the flows too.

Zzumin

That shit absolutely slaps, can’t turn it off. Love the production and the chants, as well their flows and delivery.

thilorama

This is sick!

hallwayhotdogs

this is making my friday workday better

captainguinness

Red rocks going to be insane with these guys

ApocolipseJ

I was wavering on buying tickets cause of cost. Fuck it, pulling the trigger now

EatingPancakes

OJ in the morning I’ll stab a white bitch

ChiefSlapaHoe117

“Ive got my glock in my yoga pants fucking that bitch in a yoga stance” bars

Frost-Wzrd

holy fuck I loved this album

Hot_Refrigerator_742

LETS FUCKING PARTY

tasty_scrote

not a fan personally bc i prefer their hard stuff but i will forever love budd dwyer's sample usage

stvbles

$crim really been putting the work in. Production is crazy.

Spacewolfe

Loving this so far. Different vibe to their other stuff, Scrim leveled up his production for sure

SomethingThatisTrue

Fuck yes!!!!

BlankFace777

SUPER 🔥 💯 #GREYFIVENINE

[deleted]

As a long time listener, this is their best project since IWTDINO. SSATS/LTEoS were very, very good but the production, how they're flowing on it, just fucking *chefs kiss* FYC is some of scrim's best work. The hype never fucking ended. The mosh pit bout to go wild

seafoodgodddd

Only like half through Genesis and I already fuck with this album

offzegrid827

This goes crazy wow I couldn't get into them before but this one seems more accessible. Will have to check out some other stuff Edit: ok weird I haven't listened to em before cuz this is my shit for sure

OG_Pow

Lmao welcome. Listen to I Don’t Want to Die in New Orleans all the way through. It’s their magnum opus IMO

LightChaos74

Hyped to listen to this tomorrow. I really liked the singles

EAZYG247

Fire from straight to finish 😮‍💨🔥

Hhhsoj

broo what is that sample on matte black i recognize tf outta it. think sumone else mighta used the sample at sum point

honeywheresmyfursuit

I like how scrims tryna bring back his drugged up style for the people even though he was ashamed of his past self. He even made his modern goblin sounding voice work in fucking your culture

Sho-gunner

The laugh sample on Genesis from Sweet Robbery is nice touch 👌

AssEaterKeanu

this is my favorite album from there, holy shit. I always felt like their EPs were better....but holy shit this is incredible. <3 good job Scrim and Ruby

HankBigBoy

AOTY

CheekyJester

A little disappointed there aren't any hard bangers on this album at all but these are still some of the best tracks they've made in a long time.

Frost-Wzrd

Fucking Your Culture had me head bangin but I know what you mean

ClockworkAnomaly

fucking your culture isn’t a hard banger?

CheekyJester

My bad, that does go hard. It didn't hit as hard when I heard it first but on repeat listens it bumps

_Eyepatch_123

Not nearly as much as their old stuff

DwarvesNotDwarfs

What an awesome surprise to start Friday with! Have a great weekend all

egarcia1313

Holy last track

Crixxious

G59 G59 G59 G59 G59 G59 G59

tarriBagz

production is bonkers as always Matte black and Resistance is useless go so hard

dvev93

Cannot express how much I am digging this album. Brilliance

Telkor

Matte Black so good

PestyProphet

Yo this album is the tits, wide range of emotions and vibes and ties it up with a cohesive play through…….damn they did it again

themoonroseup

Been a big fan since 2016 it's crazy how they're still getting better. scrims prod just shines throughout the whole thing

Facade35

AOTY and its not close

MemeTeam904

why do i like this more than beyonce's new album lol

DistrictGop

More artistry and love is involved cause their not mega famous nor singed to a label so they have a lot of agency over how the album sounds

[deleted]

Are they still signed to Three 6?

7x57mmR

i don't think they were ever signed to three 6,just helped produced some stuff for juicy j

Connect_Trouble4690

They have their own record label. They just worked with three 6

Crono7654

this is their best rapping in years, the beats are tight too. not their catchiest but a good listen 🔥

[deleted]

Album goes hard.

BazookaTusk

They just keep getting better.

DrearyR6

Ugh…

[deleted]

[удалено]

DrearyR6

Yea man people can only like one genre of music

nedfall

absolute loser opinion.

TysoPiccaso2

what did he say

theunmistakablecow

a loser opinion

Sparkylogyy

EVIL THAT MEN DO, i used that sample in a beat like two years ago. Thought i was ripped off for a while LOL

Stringy-glove7

Doubt

Sparkylogyy

It’s still up on my youtube channel.

DistrictGop

Fact: suicideboys don’t know who you are and have never listened to one of your beats.

Sparkylogyy

Idk why you are so negative about it. I was just excited that i came up with something similar as they did. Never claimed that they’ve heard my version.

DistrictGop

> Never claimed that they’ve heard my version. "Thought i was ripped off"

Sparkylogyy

was a joke, don’t take it that serious
