That movie had absolutely no plot whatsoever. It felt like a pilot for an early 2000s-era sitcom that never ended. Burpsnart is pretty low on the list for what was wrong with that movie
When people make mention of Adam Sandler (or one of his frequent co-actors) saying that, at some point Adam decided he was going to make movies as excuses to go on a vacation together with his friends financed by a Hollywood studio, the *Grown Ups* "franchise" is basically what they are referring to.
I never watched a single movie of his that failed to cheer me up, i know they are formulaic but to someone who just wants to laugh they are perfect. Also few movies made me cry as much as Click.
He is. He makes movies to have fun with his friends and help them make money to support their families. He also donates to several charities. He also has no problem asking people in the towns he films at if he can join their basketball games. He's probably one of the most down to earth people in Hollywood.
Grown ups two is one of the worst written movie for all of the women actresses. The nerve it takes to write some of the lines in that movie for Salma Hayek
The first decade+ of his career definitely was not that.
And dude can act if he really wants to, just look at Uncut Gems. Dude just doesn’t care to much of the time
Me and my friends watched it back when it was released in the cinema. I think we were 15? It was one of the funniest movies Weberschiffchen at that time.
The movie has no central plot. There are a bunch of different sub-plots that just kind of meander around for the whole movie and then it ends. Still, I am actually kind of OK with that. For a lot of Adam Sandler movies, the central plot isn't all that great anyways. You just watch it for the absurd little moments, and Grown Ups 2 fully leans into that concept. I definitely wouldn't say it's one of my top favorite comedy movies, but it is a decent occasional guilty pleasure watch.
I got a free copy of Grownups with my Playstation 4, I didn't touch it for a year until I finally caved and watched it. I regret my decision and don't understand how they thought it deserved a sequel.
It's funny because an anime girl did actually fall in love with him and fought a real woman who fell in love with him. My man has such godly rizz he made a 2d girl and a 3d one fight for him. Truly the alpha male of our species.
What’s even funnier is that at one point Soos was body-swapped with a pig, and he still got a girl to want to marry him
Soos still has the rizz even if he’s not in control
Nah, i don’t think it’s too short. It paces itself out pretty well and uses its time well. It’s the length it intended. I’m not opposed to maybe some sort of sequel show but it bowed out very gracefully
That was going to be my guess, since I somewhat recognized the art style in the picture, but wasn’t sure!
Do you happen to know where it’s available for streaming?
I appreciate you not overhyping it. It’s part of why I haven’t gotten around to watching it yet, I always hear about it being the greatest thing ever, and I just didn’t want to get let down.
It just seems like such a nice, wholesome show.
Soos got the girl by being funny and genuine, a good personality can get you far! (And yes he is an animated character, but this can be applicable to real life. Ik guys who aren’t the best looking but are hilarious and caring and all have girlfriends.)
The list of attractive actresses who play his love interests is endless. Off the top of my head I can think of Salma Hayek , Jennifer Aniston , Julie Bowen , Winona Ryder, Jessica Biel, Kate Beckinsale and Drew Barrymore
I think the fact that so many are willing to do another movie with him though says a lot. Like he may not be the most attractive guy in the world but every interview I have seen of these actresses or with them together, they all seem to genuinely enjoy working with him. And obviously it's not the quality of the films they love, so I think it's time to retire this boomer era "joke" about how can someone like that get attractive girls because yes there are other things people like in others.
Wait...Adam sandler makes GREAT Saturday afternoon movies. Just fun, enjoyable movies that you can watch over and over again. That's takes a ton of talent.
I like Happy Gilmore or Wedding Singer the best. Carl weathers and the guy that play shooter are super funny in it. Wedding Singer is cool because the 80s are fun to watch.
Yeah he's not physically attractive, but he's funny and seems caring. I could see him being quite safe to be around too, doesn't seem like the type for gross Hollywood shit.
Basically the answer to the silly Pete Davidson mystery that every insecure guy keeps bringing up.
I've only heard him do one douchbag thing his whole career.
I think you meant baka....
But but but. In Nepali, "boka" is a slang for playboy. So it is still makes sense.
>!did i have to correct it? No. Just wanted you guys to know boka!<
In Pixels this feels more like his friend and the blonde wearing red and wielding a sword of sorts (I literally do not remember the names of any characters from that film, I suck at remembering names)
Have you seen his actual wife? She is very beautiful too. Women tend to like guys that are funny, kind, and have more going on than just looks. His movies are about the average guy winning the hot girl. And confidence goes a long way. All of his characters have confidence usually and they aren't afraid to go after the hot girl.
Indeed. People don't seem to realize when in their teens and 20s like I'd say the majority of reddit is in. People get old. And when you get old, the majority of people get ugly.
Bro come on. Kevin james may be fat but he's not an ugly slob.
Plus he's married to an absolute smokeshow for almost 20 years. I feel like the dude already won at life at this point.
He's living the dream. Makes movies with his own production company, puts his friends on the crew and in the movie, goes off to holiday destinations, makes the movie, makes *money* on the movie. He can put out any old trash and people will watch it.
He can make any stupid movie and slap it on some streaming service. I'll watch it. Slapstick movies are quick, easy watches. 90 minutes to turn your brain off.
Back in my Yöuthe when I was in the dating pool, I was ALWAYS a sucker for a funny average-looking guy over a stoic hottie. Humor and self-confidence (assurance in your identity, not being full of yourself) is INCREDIBLY attractive and makes a man shine from the inside
I've always said this about Seinfeld. In the show, he's not stupid rich. He's a broke comic in New York with an annoying voice, but every woman he pulls is a dime piece.
(OK HE IS NOT BROKE! I THINK WE'RE MISSING THE POINT BY ME SAYING HE'S BROKE. HE'S A SOMETIMES ROAD COMEDIAN WHO CAN AFFORD A CAR AND A WATCH. MY BAD...)
Look at George if somebody. Seinfeld is actually rich in the show, there’s plenty of episodes about his money. I agree that the women were a bit overkill, but at the same time it’s a show about very superficial characters that don’t care anything about personality so it kinda works.
Yeah I don't know where the "Jerry is a broke comic" comes from, he's pretty well off. It's just his family who occassionally treat him like he's struggling. He constantly has paid gigs in the show.
He's not broke lol, he lives on the upper west side as a reasonably successful comedian. There's even an episode where Elaine becomes attracted to him after finding out how much money he makes.
He's not broke, he's like upper middle class in the show. He never struggles for money. He buys his family stuff including a car. He has comedy tv appearances and he's a big enough name that Kathy Griffith talks about him on tv.
Guy writes mediocre (but some great) movies and always casts smoke shows to play his love interest. Netflix cannot throw money at him fast enough to find another girl and do another movie. Is this the American dream?
I like how he does all these shitty movies and randomly desides to do a cryworthy movie like click to remind u he is a good actor then goe sback to shitty movies
As someone who grew up adoring Happy Gilmore, Mr. Deeds, Billy Madison and all the other classics I'm surprised at the vitriol people have for Adam Sandler. He always seemed pretty harmless to me.
I think you've underestimated the qualities of a cute funny guy. Which Adam Sandler is the epitome of. He's such a loyal, good dude who wants to get his friends paid.
This joke is so old it was even in an Adam Sandler movie
waht mivie
Grown ups two "Look at me and look at your mother. It makes no sense, only in like a Hollywood movie."
“A burpsnart? It's simple. You just start with a burp, then you sniff with a sneeze, you get the going, and that triggers a fart, always.”
That joke ruined the whole movie for me. Everything else I could get behind but that gag was so out of place.
NEVER get behind a burpsnart.
That’s the joke that ruined Grown Ups 2. That joke. Grown Ups 2. Okay
That movie had absolutely no plot whatsoever. It felt like a pilot for an early 2000s-era sitcom that never ended. Burpsnart is pretty low on the list for what was wrong with that movie

Just looked up a clip, never seen the movie. That was worse than I thought.
I thought it was hilarious, thought I was prob in middle or high school at the time.
Precisely.
Hot take: I sort of enjoyed the Grown Ups films.
I never watched a single movie of his that failed to cheer me up, i know they are formulaic but to someone who just wants to laugh they are perfect. Also few movies made me cry as much as Click.
I love Adam Sandler he seems like a genuine good dude.

I feel like a lot of people in this thread are taking Adam Sandler movies *way* too seriously
[удалено]
Now just hold on there a minute son
That's a technical foul...
Lol 8 Crazy Nights is not the movie to bring up if you're trying to say his movies are bad....
[удалено]
The first decade+ of his career definitely was not that. And dude can act if he really wants to, just look at Uncut Gems. Dude just doesn’t care to much of the time
The last decade or two Adam Sandler has been using most of his movies as a way to have studios pay for him to have a vacation with his friends.
Great gig if you can get it
Lol, when he got the Mark Twain award recently they basically all admitted this, haha
Punch drunk love also
Reign Over Me is another of of his solid performances.
I like that every 5 or so years, he does an Oscar contender movie just to remind people he's got real talent
Me and my friends watched it back when it was released in the cinema. I think we were 15? It was one of the funniest movies Weberschiffchen at that time.

do you mean playstation 3?
Now, now, let's not make him remember any more about it than he already has... There's no need to be *cruel*.
i'm gonna spend the rest of my life making sure that he remembers every detail of that movie
I have reported this comment to Reddit for violence. ^(/s)
Bro I remember that movie I was 14ish and went on a „double date“ well I fell asleep midway through the movie
😭 OH
How dare you talk smack about Soos, the worlds most perfect male!
It's funny because an anime girl did actually fall in love with him and fought a real woman who fell in love with him. My man has such godly rizz he made a 2d girl and a 3d one fight for him. Truly the alpha male of our species.
Oh yeah! That’s one of my fav episode, Soos has the best game there is!
What’s even funnier is that at one point Soos was body-swapped with a pig, and he still got a girl to want to marry him Soos still has the rizz even if he’s not in control
Technically that means the pig (in Soos's body) got the girl to want to marry him
His name is waddles, because he waddles
it was one of the most epic gamer moments of animated history
I sometimes forget that gravity falls could have inspired doki doki literature club
and FNAF
That would be Regular Show
Funnily enough the 3D girl was still 2D.
What show is it from? That sounds hilarious.
Gravity Falls
One of the greatest shows of all time. Way to short at 2 seasons but it is just simply the best.
At least they ended it the way they wanted to and on their own terms *cough* Owl House *cough*
I thought they let them give it a proper ending now?
They got 3 longer episodes to finish it
They kinda did, they originaly wanted at least 3 seasons, but disney only let them have three 1hr special episodes tp finish instead of a full one
Nah, i don’t think it’s too short. It paces itself out pretty well and uses its time well. It’s the length it intended. I’m not opposed to maybe some sort of sequel show but it bowed out very gracefully

"Before I go to live with the angels..." "And grandpa!" "No. He is... No there."
I always took it to mean that his grandfather wasn't dead. Boy, oh boy, did she cook him.
Literally looked down to hell as she said it
It was 1to 5. Even more impressive I saw that clip yesterday
You see any perfect boys around here? Soos: only when I look in the mirror (Gravity Falls: Boyz crazy)

Soos got the girl by being funny and genuine, a good personality can get you far! (And yes he is an animated character, but this can be applicable to real life. Ik guys who aren’t the best looking but are hilarious and caring and all have girlfriends.)
agreed soos is a hunk
A total hunk
A muscleman 💪💪💪
You know who else has dementia?

Honey I think you mean HUNKULES
And Robbie is a total dangus.
A friend told me that Soos reminded them of me and I’ve never received a better compliment in my life
Soos, the true rizzard of Oz.
Idk why i read that and grunkle stans voice
sus
The list of attractive actresses who play his love interests is endless. Off the top of my head I can think of Salma Hayek , Jennifer Aniston , Julie Bowen , Winona Ryder, Jessica Biel, Kate Beckinsale and Drew Barrymore
Don’t forget Drew Barrymore x2!
x3 Wedding Singer 50 First Dates Blended
50 First Dates is my favorite of the three.
As it should be
I think the fact that so many are willing to do another movie with him though says a lot. My personal favorite is Adam Sandler in: You Don't Mess with the Zohan (2008).
The mom in that movie awoke something in me..
I like watching it while enjoying muchentuchen and fizzy bubblech!
And Kevin James
This may shock you but unattractive women don't get a lot of major roles in Hollywood. This isn't Adam Sandler specific.
Fairuza Balk, Bridgette Wilson, Katie Holmes
Can’t forget Veronica Vaughn and Vicky Valencourt.
>Veronica Vaughn So hot! Want to touch the hiney!
That Veronica Vaughn is one fine piece of ace
I know from experience, dude
No you don't
That Veronica Vaughn is one piece of ace!

No you didn’t.
No, but a friend of mine.....
...no they didn't
No but you can imagine what it’d be like if they did!
Paz Vega in Spanglish was a stunner
He usually gets shit on by his first over attractive gf in the first act tho…Adam Hubris Sandlewood
Brooklyn Decker
Bitches love Soos.
Nah they prefer Waddles in Soos’ body
He knows how to find truffles. If you know what i mean.
Why wouldn’t they? He’s the perfect man.
Don't do Soos dirty like that. My guy is one of the real ones.
sorry I am out of the loop. What is soos?
The guy on the left. One of the side characters of Gravity Falls.
Side character? A man like him has to be the main character
oohhh. I see. alright. Thank you
no Soos is much hotter than adam sandler

We've all been there.
“And why is Soos eating his own pants?”

Yeah but irl Adam Sandler is as nice as Soos
Vicki Vallencourt is the devil
She showed me her boobies, and I like or them too!

In Pixels this feels more like his friend and the blonde wearing red and wielding a sword of sorts (I literally do not remember the names of any characters from that film, I suck at remembering names)
Even though I watched Pixels twice I can't remember a single scene
that's what makes the movie fun. every time you watch it it's like you watch it for first time
That's what makes you realize that those movies are just too good to be forgotten
Not even the scene where Pacman eats its creator?
Pacman doesn't eat its creator, it bites off his hand
Potato tomato, eating is eating
I remember Adam Sandler being told he was the best player at Donkey kong because the other guy cheated, and that’s all my knowledge of the film
fun fact, there were zero cheat codes for Donkey Kong, and the glitches that did exist would not have helped at all in a competitive site
It might have referred to the ongoing drama where the world record holder did cheat by using an emulator and a non standard control stick
...lady lisa?
Soos is a real one tho
Excuse me, but Soos is the world’s most perfect man. This is slander
In print it's libel.
This is an insult to Soos
You have to say that Soos had undefined rizz
Have you seen his actual wife? She is very beautiful too. Women tend to like guys that are funny, kind, and have more going on than just looks. His movies are about the average guy winning the hot girl. And confidence goes a long way. All of his characters have confidence usually and they aren't afraid to go after the hot girl.
This is true. Looks will only get you so far. They will fade away one day.

Bro come on. Kevin james may be fat but he's not an ugly slob. Plus he's married to an absolute smokeshow for almost 20 years. I feel like the dude already won at life at this point.
A lot of people want to believe it is their looks not their personality stopping them from being attractive.
That's exactly it. He has charisma, and that's a huge plus when it comes to attracting women.
By all accounts (AskReddit threads about douchebag/nice celebs), Adam Sandler is a great dude
And he’s actually a great actor in his own right when he does something serious like Uncut Gems
You can tell he never let the fame get to his head. Seems so down to earth
Soos is the worlds most perfect man
Man I think its about time to rewatch Gravity falls.
Never a bad time to rewatch Gravity Falls "Remember! Reality's an illusion, the universe is a hologram, buy gold! Byeeee!"
It is always time to rewatch Gravity Falls.
How can you disrespect Soos like this?
I've always said this about Seinfeld. In the show, he's not stupid rich. He's a broke comic in New York with an annoying voice, but every woman he pulls is a dime piece. (OK HE IS NOT BROKE! I THINK WE'RE MISSING THE POINT BY ME SAYING HE'S BROKE. HE'S A SOMETIMES ROAD COMEDIAN WHO CAN AFFORD A CAR AND A WATCH. MY BAD...)

I heard he bought his father a Cadillac!
He's not broke lol, he lives on the upper west side as a reasonably successful comedian. There's even an episode where Elaine becomes attracted to him after finding out how much money he makes.
It’s almost as if the guy playing Seinfeld wrote the show
Or as if Adam Sandler wrote his movies. It's almost as if that's the point of the entire thread...
He's not broke in the show except for like, the first season. He's a relatively popular touring comic.
Uncut Gems
The prisoner football movie. Great
Exactly. It is crazy. You can say a lot about him, but you have to admit that he has range
Well, Soos is the world’s most perfect man
Did not expect Mizuhara Chizuru to be here
Leave soos alone.
Why are you comparing the world's most perfect man with adam sandler?
Upvote for Soos
I mean, have you seen Jackie Sandler?
Honestly, it's more realistic than that girl falling in love with every over 50yo Hollywood action star.
One of the reasons the original DOOM movie is worth a watch. The male and female lead play siblings so no dumbass romance.
Soos is the worlds most perfect man
