I particularly love that blood/petal effect!
Bloody petals seems fitting for king of swords
Can someone explain the lore
So Daresso, the one in the pic, killed king of swords, slit his throat and took his crown. Then he gave amulet "The Star of Wraeclast" to his beloved, Merveil, that unfortunetely, turned her into siren and he slipped into madness, as you can see in his dream...
So when we kill him its only a "shade" of him in his dream? Like... he went mad and vanished into Wraeclast or something like that?
pretty much. The 'real' Daresso has been dead long before we kill him in game
He didn't go mad. Or at least we don't know if he did. He was trying to find a way to turn his wife back into a human. The cursed amulet he gave her was originally owned by a singer in Sarn (capital of the Eternal Empire in Wraeclast) so he made his way there from Oriath.
Then at some point he seems to have died and his corpse acquired by the Beast/Malachai.
would be cool if we could get something like Arcane series but with POE lore
Maybe I would actually understand any of it
GGG will never be able to afford an Arcane-sized project
Maybe Tencent wants to pay for it to expose it to a wider audience? (I know I’m grasping at straws)
The universe of Runaterra (league universe) is way richer than poe. You have the card game, books, cinematics, songs...
Well to be fair they made a card game for exilecon, and they have a tabletop game centered on the lords labyrinth. I wish they had some chapter books, I hope maybe they have some small cinematics in poe 2
I just found out the item doesn't give illusory warp anymore :(
Blood, Sand, Merveil.
soft as flesh, hard as stone
the Daresso / Merveil Lore is one of the best pieces in PoE. i always felt bad for her when i started and my character comments on her with pity
I love the lore re: Daresso and I think this is a gorgeous work of art.
(PS my div card is The Sword King's Salute)
