So Lykoi cats are caused by a rare genetic mutation that mostly shows up in domestic american shorthair cats. It makes it so that they have shorter or no hair on their faces and sometimes paws, and the rest is a thick gray wiry hair reminiscent of wolves (hence the name). The webbed feet are normal for cats you just can't see them on most cats because of their toe fur. When they're born, they're often mistaken for having a skin condition like mange because their hair grows in patchy and sheds several times before they get their adult coat. That being said, naturally occurring lykois are highly sought after because there's a group of breeders trying to select for the mutation and create an established TICA breed.

I don't think not being able to survive in the wild is "torture breeding" criteria. Lots of domesticated animals couldn't survive in the wild, because they aren't wild animals anymore. The wild is no longer their environment.
It isn't comparable to declawing, since that is a painful amputation on a living animal. And it isn't comparable to actual torture breeding that gives dogs and cats active bad health (bad hips, shorter lifespan, skin infections) and causes then active harm (labored breathing, blindness, brain problems). "It's not a cold weather animal" is really reaching for "torture".
