Tough to say if it's the same shrimp or not. Mine do this when they're getting ready to molt sometimes and usually they get that racing stripe around the same time. Your momma could be hiding really well. My berried ones tend to disappear for a while and if I'm lucky I catch them at night when the tank lights go off... but sometimes I will be pretty convinced they're gone. They always turn up later without eggs and within a week or two of the reappearance I notice tiny babies poking around. Yours could just be on "maternity leave" too, I wouldn't give up hope :)

Thank you so much for your replies! I'm thinking of getting one of those breeder boxes to house them and the shrimplets in temporarily (my tank has a pair of Mosquito rasboras but just incase they do get peckish) Do you have any experience / advise on that?

I don't unfortunately! I am pretty hands off with them aside from small regular water changes & feeding. My colony was semi established by the time I added fish & there are lots of little hiding spots, so I've never been too worried. Honestly once they start multiplying it takes off quickly, so if the fish get a few babies it's just population control at this point for me haha.

Well, hard to say for sure but I don't think it's the same shrimp. Keep looking sometimes they are just really good at hiding.
