Hard Rain are a British Melodic Rock band from Birmingham, England. Formed in 1996, following the demise of Magnum. The core of the band are vocalist Bob Catley and guitarist/songwriter Tony Clarkin.

After Magnum split up, Tony invites Bob Catley to help him finish off a few demos. The demo secured a record deal with German label Sophomore GmbH, so they made the decision to form a new band, rather than re-form Magnum. The entire self-titled album, Hard Rain (released in May 1997) was recorded at Mad Hat studios in Walsall, between February and December 1996 by Tony Clarkin and Bob Catley with programmed drums, apart from the backing vocals.

A band is assembled including Sue McCloskey on backing vocals, who has participated in the recording of the album. Sue McCloskey had sung with Silver Convention under the name Zenda Jacks. Paul Hodson and Al Barrow join the band on keyboards and bass, and original Magnum drummer Kex Gorin auditions for the band but the rehearsals do not work out. Al Barrow recommends his brother's services to the band, so Rob Barrow completes the touring line-up.

The band released a single in the much-favoured country of Germany "Stop Me From Loving You". After a successful UK tour, the band begins work for a second album and sign with a new record company Eagle Records. The previous record company, Semaphore GmbH, went bust. Their debut album was subsequently reissued in Receiver Records as Perpetual Commotion.

Charles Sanford "Charlie" Babbit is a self-centered Los Angeles-based automobile dealer/hustler/bookie who is at war with his own life. Charlie, as a young teenager, used his father\'s 1948 Buick convertible without permission and as a result, he went to jail for two days on account that his father reported it stolen. It is then that Charlie learns that his estranged father died and left him from his last will and testament a huge bed of roses and the car while the remainder will of $3 Million goes into a trust fund to be distributed to someone. Charlie seemed pretty angry by this and decides to look into this matter. It seems as if that "someone" is Raymond, Charlie\'s unknown brother, an autistic savant who lives in a world of his own, resides at the Walbrook Institute. Charlie then kidnaps Raymond and decides to take him on a lust for life trip to the west coast as a threat to get the $3 Million inheritance. Raymond\'s acts and nagging, including repeated talks of "Abbott & Costello", "Four minutes till Wapner" and refusal to fly on an airline except Quantas drives Charlie insane... and out of his selfish world into a cross-country trek of pure love and understanding that these two both have Awards:Won 4 Oscars. Hay quien dijo que la interpretaci≤n de Hoffman era fβcil. Tenøan raz≤n: hoy, dÃ©cadas despuÃ©s, cuando veo "Rain Man" todavøa pienso que este peque±o gran actor era, en esa peløcula, verdaderamente autista.

...Cantando bajo la lluvia es una película musical de Hollywood, estrenada en 1952. Hecha siguiendo los esquemas clásicos de la Metro, tiene su inspiración en toda la serie de Melodías de Broadway que se fueron realizando en Hollywood en los 30 y 40, coincidiendo con la aparición del cine sonoro.

Don Lockwood es una romántica estrella del cine mudo a quien ha costado mucho llegar hasta la cima. Ahora forma pareja con Lina Lamont, una bella chica, no tan tonta como parece, pero bastante turbia en sus intenciones. Son la pareja de moda de los estudios cinematográficos que dirige R.F. Simpson. Tras uno de los estrenos, Don conoce a Kathy Selden, una actriz de teatro aún desconocida, que primero menosprecia el arte del cine y luego sale de una tarta resultando ser una de las bailarinas del coro que va a la fiesta.

Don y Kathy se enamoran. Paralelamente, se ha producido un terremoto en la industria cinematográfica: el cine sonoro llega arrasando. El público quiere más y hay que reconvertir la última película de Lockwood y Lamont en musical, lo que no sería un problema si no resultara que Lina Lamont tiene una voz de rata completamente inservible para el cine.

Especialmente a la hora de repartir Oscars de interpretaci≤n injustos... pero sinceramente creo que Ã©ste no es el caso. La peløcula no es una obra maestra, ni mucho menos, pero la correcta historia de un hermano ambicioso (excelente Cruise) que se tiene que hacer cargo de su hermano autista (o sea, puro argumento de telefilm), se vio engrandecida por una actuaci≤n inconmensurable de Dustin Hoffman, que no hizo sino apuntalar a˙n mβs su extraordinaria carrera. Hay quien dijo que la interpretaci≤n de Hoffman era fβcil. Tenøan raz≤n: hoy, dÃ©cadas despuÃ©s, cuando veo "Rain Man" todavøa pienso que este peque±o gran actor era, en esa peløcula, verdaderamente autista

En el siglo XIX, ya en las postrimerøas de la Di-nastøa Chosun, una isla remota llamada Dong-hwa ha crecido en torno a una fβbrica de pa-pel. Cierto døa, se incendia un barco cargado de papel tributario para el gobierno que estaba a punto de zarpar. Para descubrir quiÃ©n es el responsable, parten hacia la isla un grupo de hombres, entre ellos, el investigador Won-gyu (Cha Seung-won). El mismo døa que llegan a la isla, Won-gyu y sus compa±eros operan con rapidez para resolver cuanto antes el caso del incendio del barco, sin embargo, se van a ver enfrentados a unos asesinatos horrorosos. Con un asesino no identificado y con los crecientes rumores de que estβ a punto de llover sangre, los aldeanos estβn conmocionados: creen que, ansioso por vengar-se, ha regresado el espøritu del comisario Kang, cuya familia entera result≤ ejecutada hace siete a±os. Cuando Won-gyu aplica sus mÃ©todos serenos de razonamiento para resolver un primer caso de asesinato, se produce otro crimen horroroso. Cuando el grupo de Won-gyu, aislado en esta desdichada isla, se ve incapaz de desve-lar el mβs mønimo indicio acerca del asesino, el enloquecido talante de los aldeanos les enfrenta a un dilema. In-kwon (Park Yong-woo), el hijo del propietario de la fβbrica de papel, reacciona ante la ola de pβnico de los aldeanos aplicando medidas mβs opresivas, y se opone a Won-gyu. La aparici≤n de Doo-ho (Ji Sung), que habøa reci-bido la caridad del comisario Kang, y el descubrimiento de que tie-ne algo personal que ver con el caso, no hace sino sumir a Won-gyu, poco a poco, en un mar de creciente confusi≤n...
