I (24f) am recovering from anorexia and posted a selfie with a hippo and got called “fat,” or “which one’s the hippo?,” or ‘she’ll die.” Broke me down and makes me want to give up. Sometimes, jokes do hurt. Could really use some kind words <3

Are my parents insane? This is how they talk to me (26F) after I told them I've been staying at my boyfriend's (27M) house. We've been together over a year and are very serious together, but my mom doesn't care to meet him because of how he styles his hair (another rabbit hole).
